However, the manufacturer is using this time to develop new surprises. Experts believe that 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor is one of them, and possible release in Australia is a big one. Truckers in this part of the world already have Raptor pickup, but Ranger. So, another one could be too much, especially since Aussie fans like the smaller sibling more than F-150.
However, we will know more in the beginning of 2019. The truck could get a presentation at the NAIAS or soon after it. Release date in other parts of the world is not certain yet.
Price
Current F-150 Raptor for 2018 season costs $50,000. This is a starting point, and Ford is not going to change it. Experts believe that base model is not going to get a boost in MSRP, but the high-end versions of 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor will go over $70k.
2019 Ford F-150 Raptor Powertrain
Under the hood of the 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor won’t be changes. The truck is going to use the same powertrain as its predecessor. Well, it is a similar unit as the base F-150 uses. A 3.5-liter V-6 engine is configured to deliver high outputs. Auto start/stop feature is standard, as well as a 10-speed gearbox. Four drive modes are available again.

The pickup will be capable to deliver 450 horses and sprint 0-60 mph in 5 seconds. On the other hand, the cost is paid with high consumption. It returns only 16 mpg combined.

The latest reports are reporting about the diesel powertrain for 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor. It is not so likely to happen, since the company is yet to test the new unit in regular model. However, it would be interesting to see a performance-oriented diesel truck in the US. From this point, it is more likely to see it in other parts of the world. But, as we already said, never say never with Ford.
