The 2019 Ford F-350 is not going to be as attractive as its sibling F-150, but this heavy-duty truck will get the job done. The great capability both of F-250 and F-350 vehicles are making them ideal for hauling the big loads. But, the Blue Oval company offers a lot of tuning possibilities, so we can find different cab and bed configurations. Also, the heavy-duty truck offers King Ranch and Platinum trim levels, as the most impressive packages of features, equipment, and accessories.
We knew all these. But, what is new for 2019 Ford F-350? Designers will revisit the vehicle. However, no big changes are on the way, since the truck will get a redesign after 2020. This will be the response to the new Chevy Silverado HD lineup whose first image is already teased.
2019 Ford F-350 Engines
The bigger super-duty model in Ford family will get both petrol and diesel drivetrains.
The first one is a 6.2-liter SOHC V-8. The flex-fuel drivetrain is a leader in its segment with the output of 430 lb-ft of torque and 385 horsepower. This engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. An alternative could be a new 10-speed gearbox.
Diesel Engine
For truckers that like diesel rather than gasoline drivetrain, Ford offers a 6.7-liter turbo unit. It is also a V-8 engine with a capability to produce 440 horses and 925 lb-ft of torque. Only Ram HD can top this, while Silverado sits at 910 pound-feet.
Towing Capacity
Properly equipped, the gasoline version of 2019 Ford F-350 can tow up to 17,000 pounds. It is possible with a help from special packages. However, diesel can do it better, raising the GVWR to 21,000 pounds. It is better than F-250, but the F-450 can go even higher with gooseneck system and 5th wheel.
2019 Ford F-350 Trim Levels
The entry-level trim is the XL. The base configuration is not so attractive when we compare it to other offers. Since the XLT costs $4,000 more, fans can expect a lot of upgrades for that money. The next Lariat trim level will probably cost $50,000. However, that is still nothing compared to top two models in the 2019 Ford F-350 lineup.
