The 2019 Ford Fiesta is going to be one of the most exciting subcompact cars in next season. After a year of pause, it comes back to the US market with bots RS and ST versions. Originally the hatchback, Fiesta could appear with sedan body style. Furthermore, the new model is not bringing any big changes under the hood. A 1.0-l EcoBoost drivetrain can deliver enough horsepower, but there will be alternatives too.
Major advantages of the subcompact car are its practicability and affordability. The 2019 Ford Fiesta will keep low starting price. Whatsoever, its higher trims are not too expensive. For about $15,000, drivers will get a ride full of joy and fun. On the other hand, the storage area of the Fiesta is not among the best in the class. Also, Kia and its 10-year warranty program, is killing to competition.
2019 Ford Fiesta EcoBoost Horsepower
As we already mentioned, the most popular engine for previous versions was a 1.0-liter EcoBoost turbo unit. This inline-three powertrain was very economical. It is able to return 43-45 mpg on the highway. Besides that, drivers of the 2019 Ford Fiesta will get 125 hp and 125 lb-ft of torque available at 6,000 rpm and 2,500 rpm respectively.
Whatsoever, the 2019 Ford Fiesta will offer the alternative in 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. This one is not so fuel-friendly, but we can still take it as low-consumption mill. On highways, 1.6 Fiesta can achieve 38 mpg. Total horsepower output is 120 ponies, that go through a 5-speed manual transmission. The alternative is automatic 6-speed gearbox.
2019 Ford Fiesta ST Specs
If the buyer is not happy with these outputs, then another option is available for purchase. The 2019 Ford Fiesta ST model is top of the class hatchback that gets power from a 1.6-liter unit. However, in this version, it gets a turbocharger. This feature helps the Fiesta ST gain 200 hp and 200 lb-ft of torque. As its siblings, this special version is using a front-wheel drive. A 6-speed auto is the standard transmission.
2019 Ford Fiesta RS is Finally in Production
We’ve been listening stories about RS version of the Fiesta for a while. However, we couldn’t imagine such tiny car delivering 250 hp. Well, the 2019 Ford Fiesta RS should be the first time for this model to appear officially. The Team RS is also working on the Focus and its performance-oriented version.
Fiesta Also to Offer Sedan in 2019
We used to see Fiesta as a hatchback, but this car has its sedan version in some markets. Well, the subcompact vehicle appears in the US with special body type. Buyers in North America, Brazil, and India know about it. But, 2019 Ford Fiesta Sedan could appear in Europe as well.
2019 Ford Fiesta Price
The entry-level model of the hatchback will cost not too higher than $15,000. The sedan will add $2,000 to the price. Top of the class, among standard versions, is Titanium model with a price around $20,000. Surely, the ST is going to raise the cost for about $3k.
