The 2019 Ford Fusion Sport will be another edition of an upgraded sedan. First of all, it uses a bigger engine and different kind of transmission. 2019 Ford Fusion Sport Drivetrain
Under the hood of the 2019 Ford Fusion Sport is going to be a 2.7-liter EcoBoost drivetrain. A six-speed transmission has SelectShift feature for a smoother change of gears. The base unit is not using this kind of gearbox. Also, the Sport sedan is getting a continuously controlled damping. All-wheel drive is a standard and total output of the vehicle is 325 hp and 320 lb-ft of torque.
At the same time, the 2019 Ford Fusion Sport is going to return 18/27 mpg in city/highway ride. Combined, it will be slightly above 22 mpg. This is the least fuel-friendly model in the entire Fusion lineup. On the other hand, Sport is also the most powerful.
2019 Ford Fusion Sport Facelift
For the upcoming season, the entire nameplate will see a facelift. According to earlier plans, Fusion was supposed to get a redesign in 2020. But, the recent news is reporting about the cancellation of this plan. Instead, we will see 2019 Ford Fusion Sport revisited and refreshed.
Unique Exterior
Standard offer for the upcoming sedan will include blind spot sideview and dual-power exterior mirrors. Bumpers and door handles are in body color. LED lighting is used for fog lamps, headlights, and taillights. Compared to the base unit, 2019 Ford Fusion Sport comes with 19-inch wheels instead of 17- or 18-inch. There are few other signature details which designers will add just before the debut.

Without all additions, the 2019 Ford Fusion Sport will cost around $35,000. It is around $12k more than the entry-level S sedan. The only more expensive trim level is Platinum. On the other hand, Hybrid and Energi models are not offering Sport trim level. However, their extras with the Platinum package can cost above $40,000.
