This three-row SUV is basically a Ford Ranger-based SUV. Two models have so much in common which includes the powertrain. On top of that, Everest will get its Raptor variant in the near future. Titanium trim level is offering a lot of premium amenities and new 2020 model will get further improvements.
Exterior Features
The upcoming 2020 Ford Everest Titanium will largely depart from the base trim level. Of course, the shape and dimensions are the same. But on the other hand, Titanium trim offers a lot of unique and upscale features. Everything starts with 20-inch alloy wheels. Auto High Beam Control, body-colored bumpers and chrome door handles are all available as standard.
Moreover, chrome can be spotted on the door handles and around the headlights. The 2020 Everest Titanium also offers power side mirrors, running boards, and new tow hooks. You won’t find plenty of optional amenities on this trim level. However, one such a thing is the optional Prestige exterior paint.
Interior is Nothing But Luxury
Just like in the years before, Everest will remain a large SUV with a room for seven passengers. The 2020 Ford Everest Titanium will be no different. However, the upcoming Everest Raptor will surely get a room for only five persons. Titanium trim level is the range-topping trim level. For that reason, you can expect plenty of premium features. The cabin looks very upscale and modern. Titanium trim offers heated front seats and leather upholstery as standard.
Leather steering wheel, seats and the gear shifter are all in the offer. On top of that, the 2020 Everest Titanium comes with standard ambient lighting and a panoramic power sunroof. All-weather floor mats and rain-sensing wipers are still in the offer. And while most of the features and systems are offered as standard, some things are still optional. For instance, third-row leather seats are optional. Furthermore, numerous safety aids and driver-assistance features are optional too.
Ford Everest Bi-Turbo 2.0-liter Powertrain
The upcoming SUV will retain its engine options. There will be three powertrain choices. A 2.2-liter four-cylinder delivers 150 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque. Moreover, a 3.2-liter five-cylinder generates 200 hp and 340 lb-ft of twist. However, the 2020 Ford Everest Titanium will ride on a 2.0-liter diesel engine. This twin-turbo engine comes with four cylinders and it produces 210 horsepower. More importantly, this engine is rated at 370 lb-ft of torque.
Thanks to that, Everest Titanium can tow up to 13000 pounds. This bi-turbo diesel is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The rest of the engine lineup is using either 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox. Titanium’s powerful engine provides a smoother ride and it comes with a much better acceleration as well. On top of that, the fuel economy rating is very satisfying.
