Ford Expedition was a very popular model, and it still is. This full-size SUV comes with a tradition and it is a reliable choice. One of the huge news is the 2020 Ford Expedition King Ranch model. King Ranch trim was available until 2017. Now, Blue Oval will return this trim level once again.
King Ranch trim level slots below the range-topping Platinum trim. It comes with numerous standard features and equipment. Just like on the F-150 model, this trim comes with unique bumpers and body-colored features. Of course, Expedition King Ranch will be significantly more premium than the base XLT trim.
Expedition King Ranch Look Stylish
Expedition is a body-on-frame SUV that is available in four trim levels: XLT, Limited and Platinum. King Ranch trim doesn’t exist at the moment. However, the 2020 Ford Expedition King Ranch is making a comeback. Thanks to that, full-size SUV will once again feature four trims. King Ranch model will be very similar to the Platinum model in so many ways.
Visually, two models are closely related. Just like the Platinum model, Expedition King Ranch comes with 22-inch wheels, two-tone exterior paint and LED headlights. This trim also offers a panoramic sunroof and adaptive suspension dampers. The design looks aggressive and rugged.
Interior Features
While rugged from the outside, the 2020 Ford Expedition King Ranch looks subtle and modern from the inside. The cabin looks stylish and comfort is great. This trim level comes with a standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. On top of that, Sync3 infotainment system is up to date. It comes with a new navigation system and a larger display. Leather seats are standard too. Wood accents are looking very stylish and traditional.
Moreover, King Ranch adds a premium audio system, sunroof, and rear-seat entertainment system. When it comes to safety, Expedition King Ranch is offering blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and rear parking sensors. A 360-degree view camera is standard too. Generally, if you want Expedition SUV with premium stuff, this is the trim level for you. The range-topping Platinum model offers slightly more luxury. Both models will offer a room for eight passengers.
Performance, Transmission, Towing
Just like the Platinum model, King Ranch will offer the same 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine. This powertrain comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The four-wheel-drive system is optional while the rear-wheel-drive setup comes as standard.
Powerful V6 produces 400 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to that, full-size SUV can tow up to 9,300 lbs. If you want to use full engine’s capacity, you’re gonna need premium fuel. Fuel economy is rated at 17 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway.
2020 Ford Expedition King Ranch Price and Release Date
Standard 2020 Expedition model will start at $52,000. The range-topping Platinum model will cost around $75,000. The 2020 Ford Expedition King Ranch is priced at $68,000. It comes with plenty of premium amenities and unique features. The all-new Expedition will go on sale this fall.
