The 2020 Explorer Police Interceptor SUV offers a standard all-wheel-drive setup and Blue Oval will also offer new Police Interceptor Utility package. It will cost an additional $2,000 and it will add premium exterior and interior equipment. Besides the Police Interceptor Utility, a regular Explorer will arrive as well. It will offer a rear-wheel-drive setup as standard and it won’t largely depart from the Police variant.

Fuel Economy
You can find the ordering guide on the official Ford’s website. However, that guide does not include some performance and fuel economy numbers. However, Blue Oval did say the hybrid engine will be standard and it will show 40 percent of improvement over the current Interceptor Utility model. The current model provides 24 mpg combined so those figures will be over 30 mpg on the new model.
Exterior and Interior Specs
The utility model will offer more equipment than the consumer variant. The 2020 Ford Explorer Police Interceptor SUV offers a new $2,000 package that will add more standard equipment. That includes Ford’s new built-in modem, Bluetooth pass-through voice commands, and a rear view camera. From the outside, Explorer will gain LED headlights and more chrome materials. The interior will look very modern and the comfort is great as always before.
