Ford is introducing the all-new F-600 model. This model will represent something new on the market and in the heavy-duty segment. It comes with a fresh design and new powerful V8 engine. The 2020 Ford F-600 made its debut at the Work Truck Show in Indianapolis. After its debut, we finally have more specific details about this truck. For the start, this model will slot between the F-550 and F-650 models.
Surprisingly or not, F-600 will feature the same cab configurations as its F-550 sibling. Also, a Class 6 chassis cab will be in the offer. The 2020 F-600 comes with an attractive exterior design and very modern interior. Also, its towing capacity is quite impressive. We are still waiting for the Blue Oval company to release pricing details.
Attractive Design
New 2020 Ford F-600 comes with a very attractive design. Styling is very modern and this model will look bolder than most of its rivals. This truck is dimensionally the same as the F-550 model. Chassis cab configuration is available, along with the special Class 6 cab.
While the commercial type of truck, F-600 is very aggressive and robust. On the other hand, some parts are looking subtle and stylish. The front part is modern and handsome. LED headlights will be standard and the grille will wear plenty of chrome accents.
Interior Features and Safety
From the inside, the 2020 Ford F-600 will offer a very stylish and modern cabin. Blue Oval offers a long list of driver-assistance features and safety aids. Automatic headlights, hill start assist and traction control are all standard. If you want lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control and stability control, those systems are optional. Also, the level of comfort is at very high level.
For a heavy-duty pickup, interior is very comfortable. Ford Data Services and Ford Telematics systems are available. F-600 is offering some very impressive optional features as well. One such a feature is surely the LTE Wi-Fi hotspot that can support up to ten devices. Standard SYNC3 infotainment system is available with an 8-inch touchscreen.
Engine and Transmission Options
A 7.3-liter V8 gasoline engine is under the hood of the brand-new 2020 Ford F-600. Powerful V8 is still a mystery in terms of exact details and specs. However, this engine will surely produce around 400 hp. On the other hand, we expect great level of torque.
But if you want higher torque level, opt for the optional 6.7-liter Power Stroke. This diesel unit will deliver astonishing torque figures. Also, optional engine will get a Ford’s new 10-speed automatic transmission.
2020 Ford F-600 Towing Capacity
The arriving Super Duty truck will offer quite impressive towing capacity. The 2020 Ford F-600 can tow up to 22,000. Of course, F-600 is still behind the Ram’s heavy-duty lineup that can tow over 30,000.
But we are still waiting on the closer engine details from Blue Oval. Ford will surely provide some improvements, especially with the diesel unit.
Price and Release Date
Price is another mystery about the forthcoming 2020 Ford F-600. The Super Duty model will arrive with the price that is similar to the F-550 model. F-600 truck will hit the markets at the beginning of 2020, most likely in February.
