Unlike the regular Kuga model, ST-line offers a racing-inspired interior. The cabin looks very stylish and unique. Sports seats are standard, just like the silver gear shifter. Leather upholstery is everywhere. That mostly includes the seats and the leather-wrapped steering wheel.
Also, red contrast stitching is available and it looks perfect. Most of the amenities are standard. However, the panorama roof comes as optional. The cabin looks extremely modern and comfort is great.
Numerous Engine and Transmission Options
The 2020 Ford Kuga ST offers numerous engine options. For the start, Kuga ST can be equipped with either gasoline or diesel drivetrain. A 1.5-liter EcoBoost is available in two different outputs. The first output generates 147 hp and the second one up to 173 hp. This engine deploys a 6-speed automatic transmission. On top of that, the all-wheel-drive system is optional and even the 6-speed manual gearbox is available.
On the other hand, Kuga offers two diesel choices. A 1.5-liter also offers different outputs. You can choose between the 118 and 147 horsepower outputs. A 2.0-liter TDCi diesel delivers either 150 or 180 horses. All of the engines meet the Euro Stage emission standards. Just like the gasoline variants, diesel engines are offering the same type of gearboxes.
Price and Release Date
The price of the 2020 Ford Kuga ST starts at $36,000. The compact crossover will become available in the last quarter of 2019. This model will be sold in Europe. Also, Kuga is available in the United States under the name “Ford Escape”.
