The speculations are finished and the 2020 Ford Mondeo will surely arrive, at least in Europe. The U.S. model is still uncertain because of numerous reasons. The 2020 Mondeo will continue the production in Valencia, Spain. According to the latest reports, Mondeo will arrive with the facelift which includes new technologies, new engine, and improved exterior design. Even the hybrid model Is available in wagon body style.
2020 Ford Mondeo Exterior Facelift
The 2020 Ford Mondeo will get some sort of facelift. There will be numerous upgrades but almost all of them are subtle. The most significant update is the new grille. Each trim level comes with a new grille. Titanium is available with horizontal chrome slats, ST model gets a blacked-out grille and flying-V grille is available on Vignale models.
Furthermore, lower grille is revised and flanked with the new fog lights. In the back, C-shaped taillights are in the offer too. To the sides, the customers can choose between the 17, 18 and 19-inch wheels. New exterior colors will be offered as well.
Interior Updates
Blue Oval carmaker says the interior will go through numerous updates. However, interior details are still not available. New rotary gear shift dial will be surely in the offer. The hybrid model is available only in Wagon body style. Mondeo Wagon Hybrid model combines a 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle engine with the electric motor and is producing 187 horsepower. Logically, the Hybrid model will deliver much better mileage. A 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine is the only gasoline option and it cranks out 165 horses.
2020 Ford Mondeo Price and Release Date
The forthcoming 2020 Ford Mondeo will cost $22,000. The price includes the base sedan model with the gasoline engine. Wagon Hybrid will cost around $30,000. The all-new Mondeo will go on sale in the last quarter of 2019 as the 2020 model.
