The 2020 Ford Ranger Hybrid is coming to the markets next year. This pickup truck will arrive with more upgrades than the current model. Ranger is a well-known pickup truck, it is reliable and versatile. However, most of the customers need to see a clearer picture of this model. Brainwashing needs to stop as soon as possible. Paying more money to buy a pickup truck with 500 horses and more makes no sense if you are not going to use it. Buy it to haul, not to drive it casually.
If you want a comfy pickup truck with a pleasant ride you have better and cheaper options, for real. However, Ranger truck is a beast, a complete package we’d say. Whatsoever, the 2020 Ranger Hybrid will offer better fuel economy and it will add more power. Exterior will see further upgrades, but not a significant one. The same will happen from the inside. Basically, the 2020 model comes with one significant upgrade, and it is a hybrid powertrain.
Exterior and Trim Levels
The all-new 2020 Ford Ranger Hybrid will once again arrive in three different trim levels. Moreover, Super Crew cab and Super Cab are in the offer too. The base model, or XL trim, offers fewer premium features, but functionality is great. The XLT is a mid-trim level that pays slightly more attention to overall look, then on the work-truck features. Whatsoever if you want a monstrous performance and luxury appearance, you’ll have to opt for Lariat models.
Of course, Ranger Raptor is available but it comes without a hybrid drivetrain. The 2020 Range will get slicker look thanks to the latest minor upgrades. If you want better off-road capabilities, opt for the FX2 or FX4 packages. On top of that, Sport and Chrome packages are available. Sport package logically adds more sporty features and it looks more aggressive. Chrome package is for those who are seeking an upscale look over everything else.
Interior Updates
The 2020 Ford Ranger comes with a comfortable cabin. The interior is pleasing and inviting. Choosing Super Crew cab models will provide room for five persons. Front bucket seats are available on all of the models and trim levels. The 8.0-inch display will remain, and the SYNC3 infotainment system will get the newest update. Of course, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard as before.
Wi-Fi charging is optional and the dashboard will borrow the look from the dash of the Ford Explorer SUV. Leather seats are optional, along with the B&O premium audio system. The gear shifter is console mounted. As you can see, Ranger offers a very modern interior. Load a couple of more optional amenities and the cabin will become luxurious.
2020 Ford Ranger Hybrid Engine
Blue Oval carmaker will continue to hybridize its vehicles. That includes numerous SUVs models such as Escape, Explorer and the upcoming 2020 Ford Bronco. Even the pickups will get a hybrid drivetrain, the perfect example is the F-150 model. Of course, the 2020 Ford Ranger Hybrid will arrive as well. The regular Ranger offers a 2.3-liter EcoBoost unit that generates 280 horsepower. Even the diesel drivetrain is included and it is a 3.2-liter turbo engine.
Hybrid drivetrain will probably combine the standard 2.3-liter EcoBoost and a single electric motor. Together, this powertrain will produce slightly over 300 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque. The largest benefits of the hybrid models are the fuel economy numbers. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait for the official mileage numbers.
2020 Ford Ranger Hybrid Price and Release Date
There is no doubt, the 2020 Ford Ranger Hybrid will cost over $30,000. Ranger Raptor models are priced at $40,000. The base model with a gasoline engine will retain its price of $25,000. The mid-size pickup truck will go on sale later in 2019.
