The all-new 2020 Ford S-Max Hybrid is another great MPV in the market. Not only that it comes with a hybrid drivetrain, but it also comes with an affordable price. This model still runs on its second generation. However, just like the current model, the new one will also get numerous changes.
Ford will introduce a couple of refreshments, especially from the outside. Blue Oval manufacturer opted for a simple design once again. However, this MPV looks very modern. Some customers feel the styling is a little outdated. Interior will get small upgrades and hybrid drivetrain will remain unchanged for 2020.
Exterior Facelift

Optionally, this MPV offers larger displays, leather upholstery and heated seats. It is a perfect vehicle for longer trips and family vacations. The interior is spacious and legroom is ample. Safety could be improved thanks to the new systems. However, most of the features will be optional. Basically, the base model will offer the same standard of safety equipment.
Hybrid Powertrain Will Largely Remain
As for the performances, this MPV will deploy a hybrid system. A 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine is paired with the battery pack and electric motor. A lithium-ion battery is the same as in most of Ford’s hybrid vehicles. Blue Oval promises 39 mpg which is more than the pleasing figure.
A 6-speed automatic gearbox is offered as standard. On the other hand, the all-wheel-drive system is still optional. The hybrid drivetrain will produce 180 horsepower and 200 lb-ft of torque. Handling is superb and generally, the ride is quiet and smooth.
2020 Ford S-Max Hybrid Price and Release Date
There won’t be surprises in terms of pricing. The new model will introduce only minor changes. For that reason, the price is the same. The forthcoming 2020 Ford S-Max Hybrid will cost 37,500.
The base gasoline model starts at $30,000. This modern MPV will go on sale in the last quarter of 2019. On top of that, S-Max Hybrid will be sold only in the United States in the beginning. Later, this model will arrive in Europe.
