This year’s LA car show presented plenty of new models. One of the models that caught the most attention is surely the all-new 2020 Lincoln Aviator Hybrid. Luxury SUV will arrive later this year in the United States. This SUV will look to rival models such as Volvo XC90 and BMW X5.
Combination of the modern SUV and aeronautical cues will be present once again. However, the design will suffer modest changes and upgrades. The interior will be very luxurious and modern. The hybrid drivetrain will be a part of modular architecture and it will be something new. Aviator Hybrid will offer astonishing mileage and over 450 horsepower.
Exterior Facelift
For the start, the 2020 Lincoln Aviator Hybrid won’t look any different than the regular gasoline model. Aviator’s unibody platform is shared with the all-new Ford Explorer. However, the design will be something different. Lincoln’s new design language was firstly presented on the MXZ and Continental models. Now, the 2020 Aviator will introduce something very similar.
Aviator is clearly a Navigator’s sibling in so many ways. Yes, Navigator is larger but that makes no real differences when it comes to styling. For instance, Aviator will offer a more squared appearance and design is more sculpted. Furthermore, Navigator offers parallel horizontal lines. New Aviator will wear a slight taper toward the rear part. The front fascia looks fresh and attractive.
The large grille is present once again and it wears more chrome materials. The new keyless remote system is now available as standard. This feature will replace the existing key-fob. Now, the customers can lock/unlock the vehicle via their smartphones. Standard and optional wheels are unchanged and Aviator won’t offer new features. However, the current list of features is more than the premium.
2020 Lincoln Aviator Hybrid Exterior Colors
As for the exterior paints, the new 2020 Lincoln Aviator Hybrid will be available in various colors. The wide range of shades will satisfy costumers and give them a possibility to choose between different colors. For instance, a vibrant Red Carpet Metallic Tinted Clearcoat is going to be available. In addition, the sophisticated Burgundy Velvet Metallic version of red is available too.
Nevertheless, there will be colder shades such as Blue Diamond Metallic and Infinite Black Metallic. When it comes to luminous shades, Lincoln offers Ceramic Pearl Metallic and Pristine White Metallic. If you’re a fan of gentle colors, Iced Mocha and Silver Radiance got you covered. For the end, Magnetic Gray and Crystal Copper are also in the offer.
Powerful Hybrid System
The forthcoming 2020 Lincoln Aviator Hybrid will deliver a slightly different system than Ford’s regular system. Lincoln will deploy two electric motors where one motor sits between the gearbox and the torque convertor. The hybrid drivetrain is based on the same 10-speed automatic transmission.
And while the regular model delivers 450 hp, Aviator Hybrid will offer more than that. On top of that, Lincoln promised around 600 lb-ft of torque. However, we are still waiting for the exact specifications. That includes fuel economy figures primarily.
Price and Arrival Date
The price of the new Aviator will start a little higher. However, while the base model starts at $54,000, a hybrid variant will cost significantly more. The 2020 Lincoln Hybrid Aviator will, according to some rumors cost almost $90,000. Some other reports are saying the price of $90,000 includes a fully-equipped model. The 2020 Aviator will arrive in the last quarter of 2019.
