According to the latest news, the 2021 Ford Edge will hit the roads with a redesign. That includes plenty of the exterior and interior changes. On top of that, the Edge ST model will arrive too. ST variant will get more power and it will be the fastest non-premium SUV on the market.
We can expect a hybrid drivetrain, some new color options, and better safety rating. Thanks to the numerous upgrades, new 2021 Edge will cost slightly more than its predecessor. According to our sources, there won’t be new trim levels.
2021 Ford Edge Exterior Facelift
When you look at the all-new 2021 Ford Edge it looks like the current model. However, this SUV will gain plenty of new features and some additional upgrades. Of course, new Edge will keep its dimensions and shape will completely remain. The front grille remains too, but it will be slightly revised. Headlights are brand-new and LED technology is available.

Edge is also available in Ingot Silver, Stone Gray, Blue Metallic and White Platinum exterior paints. Blue Oval could offer some new colors as well. However, this is just a possibility at the moment.
Interior Updates

Edge Offers the Same Four-Cylinder Engine
Under the hood, Edge won’t introduce any type of changes. The same four-cylinder drivetrain is still in the offer. A 2.0-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost is producing 250 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque. Ford did a great job with this relatively new engine. It provides great power and it replaced a larger and heavier 3.5-liter V6.
The same four-cylinder unit comes with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The hybrid drivetrain will also be in the offer at the beginning of 2021. The hybrid model will produce almost the same amount of power as the regular model. However, the focus is on the fuel economy that will be impressive.
Ford Edge ST
You probably heard the news about Ford killing the famous Sport trim. As a result, iconic ST variant kicks in. The 2021 Ford Edge ST will deliver plenty of innovations. Logically, it will add nothing but sportiness. That includes a lower stance, sportier features, and improved aerodynamics.
On top of that, ST comes with wider dimensions and larger wheels. The suspension is also retuned and this model will deploy strong V6 output. A 2.7-liter turbocharged unit will generate 335 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque. This will make Edge ST the fastest SUV in the non-premium segment.
2021 Edge Price and Release Date
The forthcoming 2021 Ford Edge will arrive at a higher price. However, the price isn’t that much higher. The new model will cost $32,000.
On the other hand, 2021 Edge St will be priced at $43,000. When it arrives, Edge Hybrid will start at $38,500. Ford’s redesigned SUV will hit the dealerships in the last quarter of 2020.
