Regular Expedition is 76.5 inches tall. Expedition MAX is taller, but not significantly, only 4 inches. What you should know is that the MAX version offers more interior room and a larger cargo area. Interior Features
The all-new 2021 Ford Expedition will get numerous interior upgrades. Blue Oval will focus on the cabin more than in the past. The goal is to deliver a more modern interior and better safety. Regular Expedition will offer a room for seven passengers. It comes with ample legroom and an impressive list of standard features. The entry-level model offers three-zone climate control, a rearview camera, and keyless entry.
Furthermore, a 9-speaker sound system, USB ports, and Bluetooth are all standard. Upper trim levels are providing more luxury and more standard amenities. For 2021, Expedition will gain more chrome accents, modified dashboard and possibly a new interior color scheme. Finally, the full-size SUV will get an update of the infotainment system and additional safety equipment.
Gasoline and Diesel Engine Specs
The upcoming 2021 Ford Expedition is using a reliable 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine. It is a standard powertrain option that produces 380 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque. The brand-new model can tow almost 9,500 pounds, which is impressive. Expedition is using a 10-speed automatic transmission, and it deploys a rear-wheel-drive system.
And while the fuel efficiency isn’t that good, a new auto start/stop system should improve overall fuel economy. Optionally, you can get a 3.0-liter V6 PowerStroke engine. It is a diesel output that generates 250 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. A hybrid variant is in the works, too, according to rumors. However, we are still waiting for Blue Oval to confirm those claims.
