2021 Explorer ST Won’t Change Visually
The styling of the 2021 Ford Explorer ST perfectly matches its performance. However, this SUV won’t get visual updates. Its design largely remains, so the 2021 model is a carryover in terms of appearance. Explorer ST comes with a sporty look and athletic stance. Moreover, Explorer ST is full of glossy black trim pieces. Thanks to that, its wheels are looking fabulous on such a large crossover SUV. Explorer still wears a fresh design, so the Blue Oval manufacturer feels there is no need to upgrade the vehicle’s design at the moment.

As we said, the new 2021 Ford Explorer ST will host minor interior updates. Something is better than nothing in this case, and we are happy to see at least a small amount of changes. The interior will get new high-gloss trim accents in different places inside the cabin. That also includes the doors.

New 2021 Ford Explorer ST won’t change under the bonnet. Sporty variant delivers astonishing performances thanks to its 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine. This powertrain is capable of producing 400 horsepower and 416 lb-ft of torque. That is significantly more power than the rivals such as Jaguar F-Pace, and BMW X3 can deliver.
Explorer ST sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds, and its top speed has been rated at 143 mph. A 10-speed automatic transmission is available, along with the standard 4WD system. This SUV provides sporty driving manners, and ride quality is superb. Lastly, the 2021 Explorer ST provides 18 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway.
2021 Ford Explorer ST Release Date and Price
The production of the new 2021 Ford Explorer ST already started in Ford’s Chicago assembly plant. The same plant produces Lincoln Aviator SUV. The release date has not been announced yet, but we should expect a new model by the end of 2020.
The price will start at $55,000, according to various reports. The changes for 2021 are genuinely minor, so the price largely remains. Ford will release more specific details in the coming weeks.
