Both General Motors and Dodge Ram are offering brand-new trucks on the markets. Because of the latest improvements, Ford is ready to provide an emergency redesign to its best-selling pickup truck. The 2021 Ford F-150 will arrive with a redesign, something no one expected to happen.
Speculations are mentioning a possible alternative, F-250 Super Duty that will arrive as the brand-new model. However, the latest reports are strongly suggesting a redesigned F-150 truck. The redesign will include a new front fascia, changed rear section and further interior upgrades. Moreover, Blue Oval automaker will deliver Raptor variant, along with the hybrid model.
Exterior Redesign
The 2021 Ford F-150 is getting a redesign. The famous pickup truck will arrive with the same shape and same dimensions. However, the new model will introduce plenty of changes, especially up front.
Front fascia will now look more modern and attractive thanks to the all-new LED headlights. Also, the front grille is new as well and the truck will ride on a premium 17-inch wheels. Receiver hitch will be standard and the rear section will get new taillights.
Ford F-150 Interior Update
From the inside, the new 2021 Ford F-150 will not introduce anything new. Basically, Blue Oval will look to update all the system and features. That means the cabin layout and seating configuration will remain. The only serious upgrade will be improved safety rating.
The iconic pickup truck will gain some new safety aids and driver-assistance features. Infotainment system will be upgraded and Ford could introduce new interior color schemes. Also, new F-150 will get more standard features.
2021 Ford F-150 Hybrid
In order to compete with its two biggest rivals, the 2021 Ford F-150 will offer a hybrid drivetrain. Of course, current engine lineup will remain, or at least most of the lineup. The hybrid model will be one of the most significant upgrades in the recent features. However, Ford is still silent on engine specs. Blue Oval will look to introduce a combination of its EcoBoost engine and a single electric motor.
The pickup will offer a class-leading mileage number and we can expect more power. More power means even better-towing capacity. Also, an all-electric model will arrive in the near future. For that reason, the 2021 F-150 may arrive with an all-new platform. However, this is just a rumor for now.
Ford F-150 Raptor
The upcoming F-150 Raptor model will arrive with a new 7.0-liter DOHC V8 engine. Next step will be a hybrid variant. However, Raptor Hybrid will most likely pair an electric motor and a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6. Currently, this turbocharged unit delivers 410 horses and 435 lb-ft of torque.
The 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor will also get further exterior refreshments. The new model will look even sportier and more aggressive. On the other hand, the interior will stay intact.
2021 Ford F-150 Price and Release Date
And while the upcoming 2021 Ford F-150 will cost around $30,000 or slightly more, the 2021 model will cost a little more. The 2021 Ford F-150 will be priced at $33,000 and diesel variants above $35,000. F-150 Raptor will start at $50,000. Blue Oval’s best-selling pickup truck will arrive in the second half of 2020.
