Shelby is a synonym for hot cars and incredible performances. While this name is tightly connected to Mustangs, something new is about to happen. Shelby will create the all-new 2021 Ford F-150 Super Snake. This move will surely shake up the pickup truck world, and a new model will be something we’ve never seen before. Shelby American is the company founded by Carroll Shelby that hops up Blue Oval’s cars and now trucks. Shelby’s president confirmed the latest rumors and said the new model will start production in the first quarter of 2020. The Super Snake Sport model will hit the markets later in 2020 as a model for 2021. Here’s what we know so far.
What About Performance?
The upcoming 2021 Ford F-150 Super Snake will arrive with the 4×4 driving configuration. According to Shelby, the first tests are more than positive. A new sporty pickup truck will reach from 0 to 60 mph in just 3,5 seconds. Moreover, it sprints from 0 to 100 mph in 8.3 seconds. Now that’s some impressive results for a pickup truck. Beside superb acceleration, this model will offer different mechanics than the regular F-150 truck. That includes the latest Shelby’s lowered suspension and Baer brakes.
On top of that, the Borla exhaust system is in the offer. The power will go through a 5.0-liter naturally-aspirated V8 engine that will produce 395 horsepower. However, an optional supercharged V8 will generate astonishing 770 horses. According to the manufacturer, the new F-150 Super Snake will be the “fastest street-legal, limited-edition truck” in the world.
2021 Super Snake Exterior Design
As for the design, the 2021 Ford F-150 Super Snake will look amazing. This pickup truck is everything but subtle. Some people will like it and some others won’t. Anyway, you have to credit Shelby for creating such a good-looking, handsome, and unique pickup truck. Super Snake comes with the ram-air hood and all-new bumpers.
Moreover, the grille and front splitter are also unique and brand-new. The sporty pickup will wear a lot of stripes and decals. When you see it, you just have to think of Mustang. Lastly, a 22-inch Carroll Shelby wheels are available and are wrapped in performance tires.
Interior Specs
Shelby didn’t talk that much about the interior details. Who cares, right? Well, someone does. The approaching 2021 Ford F-150 Super Snake will be equipped with a custom leather upholstery. Shelby’s gauges are available, and we like new billet aluminum pedals.
The windows are tinted, and the cabin will wear a lot of fake carbon-fiber accents. Of course, the new steering wheel is a must and it will look very sporty. On the other hand, Shelby won’t make such drastic changes in terms of interior design and layout.
Release Date
For a start, Shelby showed off the concept at the 2019 SEMA in Las Vegas last month. The next step is starting the production which will happen in the first quarter of 2020. The 2021 Ford F-150 Super Snake will hit the dealerships in the last quarter of 2020. According to numerous reports, this pickup truck will debut at the Barrett-Jackson Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona.
2021 Ford F-150 Super Snake Price
For the first year of the production, the upcoming 2021 Ford F-150 Super Snake will be a limited-edition model. That means Shelby will make only 250 vehicles. The price of this sporty pickup truck will start at $86,000, which is more than the Shelby GT500 model.
Because it is a limited edition, car experts are saying the dealers will mark the price way over MSRP. Finally, the Super Snake Sport model will come with a full warranty.
