Blue Oval manufacturer will release its Super Duty lineup with several updates. The 2021 Ford F-450 is one of the models that will get the latest changes. Ford will reveal these updates in Indianapolis at the NTEA Work Truck Show this March. That also includes other models in the lineup as well, such as F-650 and F-750 Medium Duty trucks.
In terms of performance, we could see small improvements, but nothing significant for sure. Moreover, the interior will gain minor updates and F-450 should get more technology. As for the exterior, small modifications on the front fascia are very certain. Still, the rest of the exterior will largely remain.
2021 F-450 Exterior Changes
All of the company’s Super Duty models are looking very similar, if not the same. The biggest difference is a truck’s towing and payload capabilities. The 2021 Ford F-450 won’t depart from any other model in the lineup. That means you can expect the same type of upgrades on the F-350 model as well. The updates include minor changes on the front fascia mostly. For a start, F-450 will host a redesigned front bumper. Moreover, the grille will be slightly larger.
This should provide better engine cooling thanks to the increased airflow. The headlights will also get a small change in terms of shape. The rear part will stay intact. Whatsoever, the tailgate is relatively fresh, along with the taillights. Still, Ford will surely provide Co-Pilot 360 system. Moreover, automatic headlamps and high-beam headlights will be available.
Practical Interior Design
Again, nothing significant will change in the cabin of the all-new 2021 Ford F-450. Complete Super Duty lineup will benefit from the latest high-tech features. Besides that, don’t expect cosmetic changes at all. Moreover, the interior layout is the same as in the current model. That means the F-450 will remain as practical as its predecessor. Still, if you want more luxury, we recommend the Limited trim level.
As for the base model, Ford will provide more standard features this time. On top of that, some new equipment will be optional on the base trim level. Steering wheel, instrument panel, and the dashboard will largely remain. The last improvement will be the inclusion of the latest driver-assistance aids.
Engine Specs
Under the hood, the forthcoming 2021 Ford F-450 will remain. Some reports are writing about improved performances and if it happens, it will be a small boost. A 7.3-liter gasoline engine has been recently introduced. This engine represents a true refreshment in the Blue Oval’s lineup of available powertrains. It can produce 430 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque.
On the other hand, an optional 6.7-liter V8 diesel is available once again. If you need a real workhorse, a diesel engine is a must. Potent V8 generates 475 hp and an impressive 1050 lb-ft of torque. No matter which engine you choose, a TorqShift 6-speed automatic transmission is offered as standard.
2021 Ford F-450 Price and Release Date
The price of the all-new 2021 Ford F-450 will now start at $36,000. The mentioned Limited trim level is available for around $80,000. Ford’s F-Series will go on sale later this year and that includes the F-450 model as well. Blue Oval manufacturer will release more details closer to the release date.
