According to the latest information, the new 2021 Ford Fiesta will continue its journey. Ford is giving up on sedans and hatchbacks and most of the manufacturers are doing the same. However, Fiesta is a model that comes with tradition and reliability. It isn’t the best-looking or the most powerful model but people still buy it.
Of course, the United States is crowded with SUVs and pickup trucks so Fiesta is far from the good-selling model. However, it is still popular in Europe. New Fiesta will continue to offer great fuel economy figures. However, Blue Oval will now provide more significant upgrades, mostly on the inside.
2021 Fiesta Exterior Facelift
Finally, a new 2021 Ford Fiesta will arrive with a facelift. Interestingly, Blue Oval didn’t update this model for a long time. Fiesta will remain a cute and small car with a stylish appearance. It does look adorable but thanks to its ST-Line, you can have a more aggressive version. Fiesta offers short rear end and it features good aerodynamics.
The front fascia comes with a recognizable trapezoidal mesh grille and sharp headlights. All of these features will be updated, but not replaced. Ford will additionally lower the ride height which should improve the ride quality. Overall, it is more than welcomed refreshments for this small car that is available in hatchback and sedan body styles.
Interior Changes
In terms of interior design, changes are more drastic than on the outside. New 2021 Ford Fiesta will arrive with plenty of upgrades. Thanks to that, Fiesta will sit above other small cars in the segment. Ford will install a new LCD screen on the dashboard which is a much easier unit to use than the previous one. Moreover, Ford’s Easy-Start system with six speakers is available.
Phone integration systems are up to date, along with the SYNC3 infotainment system. Fiesta will get various high-tech equipment that will be optional, mostly new driver-assistance aids. Once the 2021 Fiesta arrives, the customers can count on higher safety ratings. In terms of design, the cabin will get further modifications of the dashboard and instrument cluster.
Engine Specs
Unfortunately, Blue Oval automaker won’t change the engine that powers the new 2021 Ford Fiesta. That means the same 1.6-liter gasoline engine is available once again. Moreover, it is the only engine option you can opt for. This output provides 122 horsepower and 120 lb-ft of torque.
In terms of transmission, Fiesta comes with both a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The only improvement we could expect will be the fuel economy ratings. Fiesta is already very fuel-efficient due to its compact dimensions, reduced weight, and economic output.
2021 Ford Fiesta Release Date and Price
The latest changes and upgrades are more than welcome. However, the upcoming 2021 Ford Fiesta will now cost slightly more than its predecessor. The price will start at around $15,000.
If you want higher-grade version such as Platinum, you’ll have to pay $20,000. New Fiesta will go on sale later this year, most likely in the third quarter of 2020.
