Speaking of Shelby, it will get a new and optional Carbon Fiber Handling Package. New kit will add 20-inch black carbon fiber wheels, new adjustable strut top mounts, splitter wickers, and much more. This package should become available on the regular GT version as well. While it isn’t much, Ford at least opted to provide minor updates to its Mustang GT500 model.
Interior Refreshments
The forthcoming 2021 Ford Mustang GT500 will also introduce a couple of interior updates. Mustang comes with a tighter cockpit, and maybe Chevy Camaro ZL1 or Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat are better choices in terms of interior room. However, Mustang looks very modern on the inside and is full of the latest high-tech features. The ride comfort is incredible. The credit goes to magnetorheological dampers and optional Recaro seats.
The rear sits are not recommended for the adults, especially if the front passengers are taller as well. The trunk provides 14 cubic feet of space, which is above the segment average. Every Mustang GT500 comes with an eight-inch touchscreen equipped with Ford’s SYNC3 infotainment system. Blue Oval also offers a premium B&O sound system, 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, and a new FordPass phone app.

The 2021 Ford Mustang GT500 comes with a standard EcoBoost four-cylinder turbo engine. Don’t be fooled by the number of cylinders because this is a very powerful engine. It can produce 460 hp, and you can add more power thanks to an optional active exhaust. A six-speed manual transmission is in the offer, along with a ten-speed automatic gearbox that makes Mustang quicker.
If you want more power, the Mustang Shelby GT500 model comes with a 5.2-liter V8 that generates up to 760 horsepower. This variant comes with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, so you will have a lot of options to choose from.
2021 Ford Mustang GT500 Price and Release Date
The price of the regular Mustang model starts at $26,000. On the other hand, the 2021 Ford Mustang GT500 will cost up to $73,000. Blue Oval offers so many options, and even the Mustang Mach-E electric crossover will arrive soon. The sales of the new Mustang GT500 will start by the end of 2020.
