If you are looking for a powerful and luxury SUV, a new 2021 Lincoln Aviator might be the answer. This model comes with superb driving dynamics, premium interior and a long list of standard features. Moreover, Aviator is more than a family SUV and it delivers great performance. The cabin is spacious and the exterior design is extremely upright.
The 2021 Aviator will provide mid-cycle refreshments. On top of that, a hybrid variant will become available as well. In our honest opinion, Aviator is a complete package without serious cons. The upcoming model will look even better so here’s what makes this model so great.
2021 Aviator Exterior Styling
We don’t expect drastic changes in terms of exterior design. The forthcoming 2021 Lincoln Aviator will feature the same styling and it already looks premium. The design language is easy to recognize and is similar to the design of the current Lincoln Navigator SUV. The front fascia looks fresh with a very upscale grille and headlights. The overall shape will be slightly different and sleeker than before.
Lincoln offers a keyless remote system instead of a traditional key-fob. Thanks to that, you can lock/unlock the vehicle via a smartphone. The rest of the exterior has been recently refreshed, so don’t expect drastic visual upgrades. The wheels, taillights, doors and the hood are basically the same.
Interior Features
As we said, the new 2021 Lincoln Aviator is one very well-equipped SUV. This model comes with a standard 10.1-inch touchscreen. Furthermore, the second row is available with a smaller 5.8-inch unit. Tri-zone climate control, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a 10-speaker sound system are all offered as standard. Additionally, Aviator comes with a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and HD radio. However, these features are optional on the base trim level.
When it comes to safety, the Aviator SUV offers a lot of driver-assistance aids. That includes a rearview camera, parking sensors, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind-spot monitoring. Optionally, you can get surround-view parking cameras, adaptive cruise control, and traffic sign recognition. This is a list for the 2020 model so 2021 Aviator could get even more equipment.
V6 Engine Specs and Aviator Hybrid
The all-new 2021 Lincoln Aviator will continue with its 3.0-liter V6 turbo engine. This unit is capable of producing 400 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. That is a lot of power but a hybrid version delivers even better performance. Aviator Hybrid will arrive with 495 horses and 630 lb-ft of twisting power.
The credit goes to a dual-motor setup where one motor sits between the torque convertor and the gearbox. Both versions are using the same 10-speed automatic transmission. Moreover, you can expect very good fuel efficiency. Lincoln promised further improvements in this department so we are waiting for official figures.
2021 Lincoln Aviator Price and Release Date
The price of the upcoming 2021 Lincoln Aviator will start at around $52,000. On the other hand, the Aviator Hybrid will cost significantly more, over $60,000. A hybrid version will arrive under the name “Aviator Grand Touring.”
As for this SUV, the sales should start at the end of Summer 2020. If you want the Black Label Grand Touring version, you’ll have to pay around $90,000.
