The upcoming 2022 Ford Endeavour is happening. This SUV is better known as the Everest that is sold mainly in Australia. Recently, Ford launched an updated version of the Endeavour model in India. Interestingly, it is the only model in its segment in India, that comes with a ten-speed automatic transmission. The current generation is present since 2014 and now it is time to introduce the new-gen Endeavour.
Recently, this SUV was spotted testing. Despite the heavy camouflage, some novelties are visible at first glance. Moreover, the latest renderings are helping us with the new design as well. Moreover, those rendering images are based on spy photos. This model will go on sale at some point in 2021, most likely in the last quarter.
2022 Endeavour Exterior Redesign
The forthcoming 2022 Ford Endeavour will gain a sleeker and more modern look. The next-gen model will introduce significant upgrades for sure. The spy shots are the proof we’ve been waiting for. This SUV will gain new split headlights and a brand-new grille. The headlamps are now placed down below in the front bumper. Thanks to that, the front fascia looks more aggressive.
The shape is the same, which is not surprising. Moreover, dimensions will remain intact too. Thanks to that, Endeavour will continue to offer an imposing stance. The redesign also includes a couple of futuristic upgrades, such as new 18-inch alloy wheels and new taillights. Some exterior parts are still perfectly hidden under the camouflage.
Interior Gets New Dashboard
On the inside, the new 2022 Ford Endeavour will also get modern updates. The spy photos are showing a couple of novelties, which is great. For a start, the dashboard is completely revised. The central air vents are now placed below the infotainment touchscreen.
The dash still looks unfinished and it seems like Ford is yet to opt for the final design. On top of that, we spotted new steering wheels that host more buttons and controls. The instrument cluster is definitely digital and it also looks redesigned. Lastly, the central console will get more new features.
What About Engine Options?
To this date, Blue Oval didn’t specify engine lineup. There is a possibility for the 2022 Ford Endeavour to arrive with a new engine option. On the other hand, its current 2.0-liter EcoBlue engine will remain. This turbodiesel powertrain can produce 170 hp and up to 310 lb-ft of torque. Ford offers a ten-speed automatic transmission.
Interestingly, Endeavour is the only model in its segment in India that comes with this gearbox. Thanks to that, this SUV has no real competition in terms of transmission. Since the platform is unchanged, Endeavour will once again offer both two-wheel-drive and optional four-wheel-drive setups.
2022 Ford Endeavour Release Date and Price
The next-gen 2022 Ford Endeavour will make its global debut at some point next year. However, this SUV will go on sale in India in 2022. As we already said, the Endeavour model is closely related to the Everest SUV. Its price starts at about $30,000. Lastly, the Endeavour model will compete with Toyota Fortuner, Isuzu MU-X, and Skoda Kodiaq.
