The upcoming 2022 Ford Escape is ready for serious changes. It is one of the best-looking and best-selling Ford models at the moment. From what we heard, great sales will continue. Escape is available since 2000, so it is a model that comes with tradition and reliability. Changes for 2022 includes various improvements.
The exterior design will gain a more modern look and the interior will introduce an even higher level of comfort and more features. As for the performances, regular Escape will remain intact. However, we expect more power from the hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions. On top of that, Escape ST is reportedly in the works as well.
2022 Escape Facelift

Escape Hybrid Gets Improvements

Escape offers both front-wheel and all-wheel-drive systems. Current Escape sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 7.7 seconds and the 2022 version will probably get slightly better results. A 2.0-liter turbo-four variant is optional and it can produce up to 250 horsepower.
With this engine, Escape accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds. Both units are paired to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. At this moment, hybrids are a more popular choice. Escape offers both mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrain options. Some improvements will surely happen, but Blue Oval is still quiet about possible changes. At this moment, Escape Hybrid delivers 221 horses.
2022 Ford Escape Price and Release Date
The brand-new 2022 Ford Escape will cost more than the outgoing model. Right now, Escape is available for $26,000 and the new model will surely start at around $27,000. Escape SUV continues to rival models such as Nissan Rogue and Mazda CX-5. Lastly, this model will hit the dealerships by the end of 2021 and Ford is reportedly working on the ST variant.
