Ford offers plenty of gloss-black trims and body-colored features such as a liftgate spoiler and door handles. We like the athletic stance and the impressive aerodynamics.
Dimensionally, Explorer ST is 198.8 inches long and 78.9 inches wide. This sporty SUV comes with a wheelbase that is rated at 119.1 inches. Furthermore, we’d like to mention its impressive color palette. The Explorer ST provides optional paints such as Atlas Blue, Agate Black, Iconic Silver, and Rapid Red Metallic.
Interior Features
The interior of the 2022 Ford Explorer ST will wear the same leather upholstery so the level of comfort remains at a high level. Thanks to that, Explorer ST performs better than its high-performance rivals such as Jaguar F-Pace or BMW X3. Ford said the Explorer ST SUV sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds and the top speed is rated at 145 mph. ‚
This engine comes with a standard Intelligent 4WD system and direct fuel injection. Furthermore, towing capacity is rated at 5,600 lbs. However, fuel efficiency is the main issue as the Explorer ST delivers 21 mpg combined. This isn’t bad but hybrid models are taking over the segment, so Ford will have to improve this aspect in the near future.
2022 Ford Explorer ST Price, Release Date
We don’t know if the price of the 2022 Ford Explorer ST will jump, but the current model is available for $53,000. This high-performance model will go on sale this summer, most likely this August. The Blue Oval manufacturer will announce more details in the coming weeks.
