The all-new 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty will hit the roads once again, this time, with some major upgrades. The newest reports are suggesting the next-gen Super Duty so even the F-350 model will gain the same improvements. Blue Oval is yet to confirm those claims, but the most reliable reports are strongly suggesting it. As you know, Ford usually doesn’t have a logical order of new-gen models.
For example, some Super Duty generations were present for four years and some others for almost a decade. The F-250 truck will surely introduce exciting changes and the first spy photos are proving that. The spied prototype wears some notable changes but most of the upgrades were not visible. The sales will start by the end of the current year.
2022 F-250 Super Duty Spy Shots
New 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty will arrive with interesting exterior changes. The upgrades are more major than in the last couple of years. The reason for that is the new-gen Super Duty. First spy shots are available and we had an opportunity to see the latest novelties. For a start, the prototype looked as robust as the current F-250 model. This means the platform will most likely remain intact. The front fascia comes with the new cut grille, but we couldn’t see what is happening with the headlights.
The front section will definitely look sharper and more modern. On top of that, the grille will probably wear more chrome accents. Wider flared fenders were easy to spot and we expect to see new exterior colors. The rear section will deliver new taillights and we also expect to see new wheels on some trim levels.
Interior Changes
On the inside, the 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty will also get some drastic upgrades. The spy photos didn’t provide interior details of any kind. However, the cabin will surely introduce more tech and possibly the redesign of the dashboard. The platform is the same so the interior room should remain the same.
However, the Blue Oval automaker will surely deliver a higher level of comfort and more premium materials. On top of that, safety will be improved as well. New interior color schemes are a possibility, but this is not official. Additional standard equipment would be nice, as the next-gen models are usually offering more features.
Specs
Nothing will change under the hood of the 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty. Ford already offers a relatively new gasoline engine, along with the impressive turbodiesel powertrain. There is no room for improvement and developing a new engine would be too expensive. A hybrid powertrain is a good way to improve a truck’s fuel efficiency. However, that will not happen in the near future. The F-250 model will once again deploy the 7.3-liter V8 gasoline with 430 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque.
As for the diesel engine, it is a 6.7-liter turbo V8 output that generates 1050 lb-ft of torque. Some reports are predicting even more torque for the diesel engine, but this is just another rumor. And while the gas engine comes with a ten-speed automatic transmission, the diesel powertrain offers a six-speed automatic gearbox.
2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty Price, Release Date
The new-gen 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty will now cost $35,000 or slightly above that. On the other hand, upper trims such as Platinum or Limited are priced at over $50k. The sales will begin by the end of 2021 and Ford is yet to unveil more details, so stay tuned.
