The all-new 2022 Ford F-350 will go on sale later next year. Ford will introduce the next-gen Super Duty lineup so we should expect more major upgrades. The forthcoming F-350 truck will get plenty of modern features and styling refresh. The current generation is present for eight years so it is the right time to introduce the new generation.
While we are waiting for Ford to make it official, numerous reports are predicting the novelties about this model. Drastic changes are about to happen, both in and out. However, we don’t know what will happen with the performances, but we think that the things under the hood will remain intact. The F-350 truck will continue to rival heavy-duty models from Ram and Chevrolet.
Ford F-350 Changes
The upcoming 2022 Ford F-350 will arrive with a new design. While the truck will remain attractive and robust, the new model will look more stylish. The platform also remains so the truck’s dimensions are exactly the same as before. The front fascia will perhaps suffer the biggest changes. The F-350 will wear a new grille that looks sharper and it provides additional chrome accents.
The headlights are slimmer now and the flared fenders are wider than before. New exterior paints will become available and the rear section will host a new tailgate step. Moreover, a remote-operated power-locking tailgate is in the offer as well. The relatively new Tremor package is available once again and we’d recommend it to anyone who is into off-roading adventures.
Interior Improvements
The next-gen 2022 Ford F-350 will arrive with more high-tech features and the latest safety aids. As for the cabin design, things won’t drastically change. That also includes the interior layout and cabin space. The F-350 truck will remain a spacious and practical model with a high level of comfort. However, if you want more luxury, you’ll have to opt for one of the upper trim levels.
Ford will introduce new color schemes and it will add features such as massaging front seats. The infotainment system is updated and F-350 will offer Wi-Fi for ten devices. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and navigation are all offered as standard. Furthermore, type-C ports are available, new floor mats will be optional and the touchscreen should be a carryover.
Engine Specs, Transmission, Towing Capacity
The 2022 Ford F-350 will most likely arrive with the same engine lineup as its predecessor. That means there will no changes under the bonnet. The F-350 heavy-duty truck will offer a 7.3-liter V8 gasoline engine as standard. It is the most powerful gasoline engine in the segment and it can produce 430 horsepower.
Moreover, it generates 475 lb-ft of torque and it comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The highlight is the proven 6.7-liter PowerStroke turbodiesel. This engine is capable of producing an astonishing 1050 lb-ft of torque. According to Ford, the new F-350 model will tow over 32,000 pounds.
