The forthcoming 2022 Ford F-750 entered production. This medium-duty truck will begin its production at Ford’s Ohio Assembly Plant in the coming weeks. According to Blue Oval, dates are subject to change but the production officially starts on January 4th, 2021. The sales are getting better and better, despite the Coronavirus pandemic.
For 2021, this model obtained a 7.3-liter Godzilla V8 engine with 350 hp. For 2022MY, the F-750 truck will introduce an integrated air compressor that can be used to power air suspensions, air brakes, and some other accessories. The sales will begin later in 2021.
Ford F-750 Performances
The 2022 Ford F-750 offers a 7.3-liter Godzilla V8 gasoline engine with 350 horsepower and 468 lb-ft of torque. This engine joined Ford’s 6.7-liter PowerStroke V8 unit. This turbodiesel engine generates 270 hp and up to 700 lb-ft of torque at 1,500 rpm. The TorqShift HD six-speed automatic transmission is available with both engines. We don’t know if Blue Oval will provide further improvements.
Latest rumors are predicting more torque for the diesel powertrain option. As we said, F-650 and F-750 models are offering integrated air compressor. Thanks to that, the compressor can power air suspension, air brakes, air horns, and air seats. As for the air brakes, it comes with a diesel variant exclusively.
Changes Are Minor
The brand-new 2022 Ford F-750 won’t introduce major changes. That means both the interior and the exterior will gain minor refreshments. The interior is surprisingly modern and it offers a lot of standard equipment. Moreover, comfort is satisfying and upper trim levels will provide more luxury. As for the base trim level, it offers basic stuff such as AM/FM radio, navigation, and cloth seats. For 2022MY, the F-750 model will get an updated infotainment system and new driver-assistance aids. Thanks to that, safety is better than before, but new features are optional.
As for the exterior design, F-650 and F-750 medium-duty trucks are easy to recognize. The appearance is both sleek and modern. The front fascia will gain a sharper look, but both the grille and the headlights are exactly the same as on the current model. The side profile will introduce improved bodywork and the rear section should get a new shape of the taillights. As you can see, changes are really minor but Ford clearly feels there is no need to make dramatic changes at the moment.
2022 Ford F-750 Release Date, Price
The upcoming 2022 Ford F-750 model will hit the dealerships next October. Of course, the Coronavirus pandemic could easily force the Blue Oval manufacturer to reschedule the launch of its medium-duty lineup. The order books will open in the next few months and the F-750 truck will begin its production at the Ford Ohio Assembly Plant in Ohio on January 4th, 2021.
As we already said, the dates are subject to change, which will most likely happen. The price will start at around $62,000, which means the price won’t change at all for 2022MY. The changes are minor, but we can expect more upgrades in the near future.
