The 2022 Ford Kuga continues with the improvements. The Blue Oval revealed the latest updates, including improved styling that looks sleeker than before. On top of that, the interior will gain a lot of updates, across the complete trim level lineup. The result is a more distinctive SUV with slightly more room and a higher level of comfort.
Interestingly, but Kuga is available with a hybrid powertrain option in all of its trim levels and editions. That includes Titanium, ST-Line, and even the Vignale variant. The result is a powerful SUV with high fuel efficiency. New Kuga will hit the dealerships later in 2021 and the sales will begin firstly in Europe.
Wide Choice of Engine Options
The upcoming 2022 Ford Kuga offers a lot of powertrain options. Everything starts with the regular gasoline EcoBlue engine. However, Ford also provides a mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid variant as well. The Kuga Plug-In Hybrid combines a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor and a 14.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. This output generates 220 horsepower and 31 miles of all-electric driving range.
The EcoBlue Hybrid version generates 147 hp via a 2.0-liter diesel engine and its mild-hybrid technology. The full-hybrid Kuga combines 2.5-liter Atkinson four-cylinder gasoline and it offers an intelligent AWD system. Of course, Ford Kuga comes with regular combustion engines, including different EcoBlue and EcoBoost options.
Titanium, Vignale, and ST-Line Models
As you know, the 2022 Ford Kuga is the first model from the Blue Oval to ride on a new C2 global architecture. This crossover SUV will gain a couple of upgrades, and more importantly, all of its trim levels will introduce interesting updates. For a start, the Titanium variant comes with a sportier front end, skid plates, rear diffuser, and body-colored exterior features. You can choose wheels ranging from 17-inch to 19-inch alloys.
The Vignale model is an exclusive variant with exclusive features. That includes additional aluminum finishes, 19-inch or 20-inch alloy wheels, leather seats, roof rails, and leather upholstery. Finally, the famous ST-Line Kuga is for those who want more sportiness. The 2022 Kuga ST-Line will introduce a bolder design, body-colored bumpers, a large rear spoiler, and twin exhausts.
2022 Kuga Colours
Another great thing about the new 2022 Ford Kuga is its impressive colour palette. The forthcoming crossover will offer twelve different exterior colours. The entry-level trims are available with paints such as Blazer Blue, Chrome Blue, Solar Silver, Frozen White, and Lucid Red. On the other hand, Blue Oval will offer metallic Diffused Silver and Sedona Orange colours as well. The Vignale version will provide brand-new Blue Panther exterior paint.

The all-new 2022 Ford Kuga will cost below $30,000 once again. All of the hybrid variants are available for $31,500 and above. The sales will begin later in 2021 and Ford is yet to reveal all details. As you probably know, Kuga is not available in the United States, but its Ford Escape sibling is.
