The upcoming 2022 Lincoln Aviator is ready for further upgrades. This luxury SUV comes with tradition and it is a very reliable model. Basically, Aviator is a smaller Lincoln Navigator SUV. Two models are sharing the same design language and the same level of luxury. However, Aviator offers a hybrid powertrain option.
Known as Aviator Grand Touring, this model offers a hybrid system for improved performance and fuel efficiency. The 2022 Aviator will gain a couple of upgrades and it will look better than the outgoing model. Its rivals are established models such as BMW X5 or Volvo XC90. New Aviator will most likely hit the dealerships by the end of the year.
2022 Aviator Facelift
The all-new 2022 Lincoln Aviator is about to introduce some cosmetic upgrades. The current model looks modern enough, premium, and handsome. However, new the 2022MY will be even better. Lincoln plans to update some exterior parts. For a start, the front fascia will wear a revised grille and headlights. 19-inch wheels will remain intact and these units are available as standard.
Larger rims are optional, as before, and Lincoln will most likely introduce new exterior paints. The rear section will look both stylish and sporty, with the quad exhaust tips and modern taillights. If you want the best-looking version, Monochromatic Reserve Package is available. This package provides larger 22-inch alloy wheels, body-colored exterior parts, and more unique stuff.
Interior Updates
The interior of the 2022 Lincoln Aviator will once again look very premium and modern. It is a luxury SUV so Aviator offers a lot of high-quality materials and plenty of features. Lincoln will deliver more standard equipment and the 2022 Aviator will use a standard 10.1-inch touchscreen. Tri-zone climate control is standard, along with the premium audio system and ambient lighting system.
There will be room for seven passengers and we expect for the cabin design to remain intact. Aviator will surely arrive with more driver-assistance aids and an improved Co-Pilot 360 system. Thanks to that, this SUV will be even safer than before.
Two Engine Options
The forthcoming 2022 Lincoln Aviator offers two engine choices. The first one is a well-known 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 gasoline engine. This unit develops 400 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. On top of that, Lincoln offers a relatively new 10-speed automatic transmission. The rear-wheel-drive system is standard but you can load an optional all-wheel-drive setup as well.
The second powertrain option is a hybrid. As we said, the Aviator Grand Touring model offers a hybrid powertrain that delivers 21 miles of all-electric range. This system combines a standard twin-turbo V6 engine with an electric motor. This output will produce almost 500 horsepower and it will also deliver significantly improved fuel economy ratings.
2022 Lincoln Aviator Price, Release Date
After the latest updates, the 2022 Lincoln Aviator will now cost $52,000. On the other hand, the range-topping Black Label trim level is available for about $80,000. Grand Touring Aviator with a hybrid engine starts at $69,000. Lincoln is yet to reveal more details but the sales will surely begin in the second half of 2021.
