Lincoln updated the MKC and rebranded it the Corsair in 2020. In its second year, the 2022 Lincoln Corsair crossover will provide a couple of changes. It is a luxury model like any other model produced by Lincoln. Corsair uses a new plug-in hybrid system and it also offers new updated packages. Because it is still a relatively new crossover, we expect the 2022 Corsair to be a carryover model.
The crossover retains its youthful appearance, and its inside is packed with cutting-edge technology and systems. Adding another trim level is, of course, a smart idea. Currently, the car is only available in two trim levels: Standard and Reserve. The Corsair will provide you with an excellent driving experience owing to two strong units. We hope to see the Black Label variant in the coming months.
2022 Corsair Gets First Facelift Ever
The upcoming 2022 Lincoln Corsair wears smaller exterior elements fit its tiny body, and it works brilliantly. It has a tall mesh grille, sweeping headlamps, strong shoulders and hips, and some other interesting features. Because it is a small crossover, it is a touch more swoopy than its bigger siblings, the Aviator and Navigator, in order to appeal to its target consumers.
We anticipate that this design will mostly remain intact. However, the manufacturer could surprise us with a change or two. That includes new optional wheels and new exterior colors. Still, Corsair will arrive with the same design language and the same dimensions.
Interior Upgrades
When you step inside the 2022 Lincoln Corsair, you’d never guess it was linked to the Ford Escape. It surrounds you in elegant luxury without going overboard. It has colorful upholstery, full-width passenger side air vents and much more. That includes cool features such as gloss black and metallic accents as well. Lincoln offers a standard 8-inch touchscreen that sits atop the dash.
The Corsair has amenities such as push-button ignition and Co-Pilot360. Passengers in both seats may regulate the temperature, and there are USB connections, incuding type-c ports. Lastly, Lincoln provides the audio system with ten speakers as standard.
Corsair and Corsair Grand Touring Specs
The 2022 Lincoln Corsair, which replaces the previous MKC, is a two-row SUV with seating for five and a choice of two turbocharged four-cylinder engines. The basic engine is available in front- or all-wheel drive, while the more powerful turbo four-cylinder comes standard with all-wheel drive.
The Grand Touring plug-in hybrid variant, which was introduced to the Corsair lineup only last year, also has all-wheel drive. This gas-electric hybrid produces 266 horsepower and has an all-electric range of over 30 miles. As for the gasoline-powered Corsair variant, first one provides 250 hp and the second one up to 290 horsepower. The base four-cylinder also delivers 22 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.
2022 Lincoln Corsair Price, Release Date
There is no official release date for the 2022 Lincoln Corsair yet, but based on past years’ timetables, we expect it to arrive this autumn. Pricing is likewise unknown at this time, but with minor modifications on the way, we anticipate only a little price rise over the current model’s $37,100.
As before, Corsair crossover will rival other luxury models such as Cadillac XT4 and Acura RDX. The Acura RDX, Cadillac XT4, and Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class will compete with this luxurious compact crossover.
