After the complete redesign, Navigator SUV gained even more sales. Now, the 2022 Lincoln Navigator could be the first model of the generation to receive more drastic upgrades. On the other hand, this is not official yet, but we do have spy photos. Luxury full-size SUV will gain some sort of refresh, but we can’t confirm if we are dealing with the exterior redesign. Navigator is a premium model with a lot of luxury, it looks stylish and its interior is very modern and comfortable.
On top of that, Navigator offers superb ride quality, thanks to the independent rear suspension. Many reports are suggesting brand-new high-performance variant, such as Raptor. Furthermore, even the electric Navigator is the subject of rumors. However, we’ll have to wait for the manufacturer to confirm those claims.
2022 Navigator Spy Photos
Newest spy photos are showing the 2022 Lincoln Navigator with the latest changes. While we can see some upgrades on the front and rear fascias, we can’t confirm if the new model will gain a redesign. It seems like we are dealing with another mid-cycle facelift. The front fascia hosts a more extensive grille that sits higher than before.
The headlights are redesigned, but heavy camouflage perfectly hides the lower fascia. The side profile is a mystery for now. On the other hand, the rear section definitely shows thinner taillights. We hope to see new wheels and new exterior colors. At this moment, we know that some changes will happen, but don’t know how significant they are.
Interior Changes
On the inside, the 2022 Lincoln Navigator will gain a larger infotainment touchscreen option. It is the most significant upgrade, so the 10-inch unit is gone now. New display is horizontally placed but its size is still a mystery. The interior will surely gain some other improvements, most likely new tech. The cabin design will remain, including the seats and the upholstery.
Still, this is not a bad thing as the Navigator SUV is a very luxurious model with a premium interior. There will be three trim levels and the Black Label is perhaps the most luxurious trim in the full-size SUV segment. Safety will be improved as well, so we expect additional driver-assistance systems.
Engine Specs
When it comes to performance, the new 2022 Lincoln Navigator won’t introduce any sort of improvement. A 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine is available once again. It is a twin-turbo gasoline variant with 450 horsepower. Some reports are suggesting more power, which seems like the most likely outcome. Still, Lincoln won’t offer a new powertrain option.
It is an interesting topic, as you can read a lot of rumors regarding the electric Navigator SUV. The electric variant won’t happen for sure. On top of that, some other stories are predicting the high-performance variant, similar to Ford Raptor. This is another speculation and we can confirm that none of this will happen in the next year or two.
2022 Lincoln Navigator Release Date, Price
The price of the new 2022 Lincoln Navigator will now start at around $78,000. The Reserve trim level will cost $83,000 and the Black Label model almost $100,000. The sales will begin later in 2021, or in the first quarter of 2022.
