The upcoming 2023 Ford Bronco is almost ready to hit the roads. The comeback of the famous nameplate will happen at some point next year. This time, Bronco will compete with an established Jeep Wrangler SUV. Thanks to that, Ford will provide a lot of equipment, numerous powertrain options, and more.
Even the Raptor variant will be on offer and it will arrive under the name “Warthog”. This model will also provide a lot of power, and even the hybrid powertrain could be on offer in the near future. Overall, we think Bronco is a complete SUV with so much to offer.
Numerous Engine Options
The 2023 Ford Bronco is available with a turbocharged engine. A 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 300 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque serves as the base engine. Additionally, a 2.7-liter V6 engine with 330 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque is available. This is nothing new, however, the Bronco DR variant could arrive with a potent 5.0-liter V8 Coyote engine.
It is the same engine that powers the Mustang GT car. It provides over 400 horsepower, so Bronco DR will be the most powerful variant for sure. Finally, there is a Bronco Warthog model. This version will deploy a 3.0-liter V6 engine and it will generate around 400 hp and 415 lb-ft of torque.
Ford Bronco Raptor (Warthog)
A few days ago, we had an opportunity to see a new batch of spied 2023 Ford Bronco Raptor, or Warthog. The first batch didn’t provide many details, but this time we are able to see a lot more. For a start, this version will look more aggressive than the base Bronco. The Ford Bronco Raptor will include Fox’s Live Wire twin-tube bypass dampers. It’ll be available with 37-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain tires, but a set of smaller 35-inch tires should come standard.
All of these aggressive components will be brought together by a much wider stance, as demonstrated here with bulging fender flares. On top of that, it features a “Ford” script grille, amber headlights, and marker lights. According to the most reliable reports, the Raptor variant will be wider than 80 inches. This model will also include unique and darker taillamps, along with new skid plates.
Exterior Design and Colors
New 2023 Ford Bronco will share a lot of stuff with the Ranger pickup truck. That includes similar styling cues and the same platform. Bronco will directly rival Jeep Wrangler. And just like Wrangler, Bronco SUV will also offer two-door and four-door configurations. Moreover, we expect to see removable roofs, doors, and more.
In terms of exterior paints, Bronco provides a unique color palette, where blue and red hues are dominating. However, this brand-new SUV will also deliver paints such as Eruption Green and Cyber Orange Metallic. From what we know, this model will offer up to eleven different colors.
2023 Ford Bronco Price, Release Date
The price of the upcoming 2023 Ford Bronco is not available yet. However, this modern SUV should start at $30,000, more or less. Of course, we are talking about the base two-door variant. On the other hand, Bronco DR will cost around $200,000. The sales will begin at some point next year, most likely in the second half of 2022.
