The next 2023 Ford Evos is on the way. This model made its debut last year at the Shanghai Motor Show. It is a model destined for China. However, new Evos should also arrive in Mexico, later in 2022. This is not everything. Some reports are saying that the Evos SUV could completely replace the Ford Edge model.
In case you didn’t know, Ford Edge and Lincoln Nautilus will be retired after the 2023MY. This means the Evos model could also reach the American shores. Of course, things are far from official, but it seems like Ford has huge plans for the Evos nameplate in the future.
Exterior Design
As this is a relatively new model, we don’t expect any type of change. The 2023 Ford Evos will look thoroughly modern and upright. The Evos model comes with a wagon-like appearance, although it is an SUV. Ford introduced a new „3D parametric“ grille and standard LED headlights. The front fascia is truly unique and modern. Furthermore, Evos features pop-out door handles.
Of course, Evos in China and Evos in other parts of the world will be a little different. The wheels could be the main difference, along with the exterior colors. Ford Evos Interior
Inside the cabin, the new 2023 Ford Evos will have a massive display, which is the highlight of Evos’ interior. Like the Mustang Mach-E crossover, Evos will ride on the same E/E platform. Thanks to that, the Evos model will support over-the-air updates. More importantly, the range-topping trim level will provide the Blue Cruise system.
Most likely, it will be a Level 2 driver-assist system, similar to the GM’s Super Cruise. The forthcoming Evos will provide a solid level of luxury. The comfort is great and this model will provide ample cabin room. We are waiting to hear more details, but most of the interior updates will happen in the high-tech category.
Engine Specs
The upcoming 2023 Ford Evos will offer numerous powertrain options. However, this model will borrow engines from other models, including the PHEV system from the Escape crossover. A 2.0-liter four-cylinder comes as a base engine option. The same drivetrain will power the new Bronco Sport model.
The specs are not available yet, but many experts are predicting around 245 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. We think the Evos’ specs will be quite identical. A hybrid powertrain should be optional, while the all-electric model will not arrive in the next two years.
2023 Ford Evos Release Date, Price
The price of the forthcoming 2023 Ford Evos remains a mystery. However, this model will firstly arrive in China, and it should cost around $27,000. The sales will begin later this year, and the Evos model could arrive in the United States as well. This model will be manufactured in Mexico and it should replace the Ford Edge model in the following months.
