The upcoming 2023 Ford F-250 will continue to dominate the heavy-duty segment in terms of power. The model with powerful engines and the best towing capacity in class is the best-selling truck for a reason. It can be had with either 7.3 -liter gasoline or a 6.7-liter diesel powertrain. Ford claims a properly outfitted F-250 can tow 37,000 pounds and transport 7800 pounds.
Its passenger space is huge compared to Ram’s heavy-duty competition. Aside from enhanced driving characteristics, the Ford F-250 boasts more high-tech gadgets and driver support systems. The new model will arrive next year and here’s everything you need to know about the new F-250 truck.
Ford F-250 Exterior Redesign
It’s safe to say that the 2023 Ford F-250 is the most anticipated heavy-duty model. According to reports, the next model would be revamped aggressively. Overall, Blue Oval took this step as the biggest opponent Ram 2500 is getting frequent updates. The new model will have a redesigned grille, bigger bumpers, and reworked taillights.
The LED headlights will also be fully revamped and smaller. We also expect the new truck to sit on the same architecture as its predecessor. This means the dimensions will not change. Also, new colors to compliment the already popular Carbonized Gray, Lithium Gray, and Antimatter Blue paints will be on offer.
Interior Upgrades
In addition to a stylish dash, the new 2023 Ford F-250 will gain a smarter cabin layout. Buyers can choose from two bed sizes, but the conventional cab only comes with a long box. The XL trim offers a non-touch infotainment system, but the new F-250 could improve that. The XLT trim adds an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Wi-Fi.
The rest of the lineup gets a 12.0-inch touchscreen, Sync4 infotainment, and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto phone integrations. Blue Oval will also introduce various driver-assistance technologies, including automated emergency braking and a multi-view camera system.
Power, Towing Capacity
The forthcoming 2023 Ford F-250 engine lineup will be a carryover. The same gasoline and diesel engines will be available again. For a start, the base model has a 7.3-liter V8 gasoline engine with 430 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. Ford claims this is the segment’s most powerful gasoline engine at the moment.
The manufacturer also provides a turbodiesel engine for better performance. This truck’s 6.7-liter PowerStroke diesel engine develops 475 hp and 1050 lb-ft of torque. On top of that, the F-250 can pull around 37,000 pounds. We don’t know if the F-250 model will gain an even higher level of torque in the near future.
2023 Ford F-250 Release Date, Price
The all-new 2023 Ford F-250 will hit the dealerships in the second half of 2022. This popular model starts at $36,000 but can go considerably higher depending on trim level. Many trucks compete in this segment, but none seem to rival the Ford F-250. The Ram 2500 is the closest rival, along with the Chevy Silverado 2500HD model.
