It is a must, not only for Ford but for any other carmaker in the world. The CO2 regulations are tighter than ever before, so manufacturers are focusing on hybrids and EVs.
Right now, Mustang offers a 5.0-liter V8 and 2.3-liter inline-four engines. The most recent reports are saying that both engines will get hybridization. We don’t know if the hybrid system will increase the power. On the other hand, fuel efficiency will be significantly better. No matter which unit you choose, the AWD system will come as standard.
Ford Mustang AWD Hybrid Facelift

The 2023 Ford Mustang AWD Hybrid will arrive with fresh upgrades, although we don’t expect a major departure from the previous version. Some spy shots are already available. Each version of the Ford Mustang will gain new exterior elements and new exterior colors.
Still, a major overhaul is not happening. The spy photos didn’t show that much. However, we spotted some changes on the front fascia. Furthermore, Blue Oval will tweak the exhaust system and will introduce a new brake caliper.
Interior Changes
The interior of the 2023 Ford Mustang AWD Hybrid will gain a couple of important refreshments. No matter which variant you opt for, the interior should be the same. Of course, Mustang can be had in both coupe and convertible body styles. This popular car will ride on the Ford CD6 platform.
Therefore, we expect better ride quality, while the cabin space should remain. The front seats are offering solid legroom, but the rear seats are suited for kids only. Blue Oval automaker should deliver more standard features, new optional amenities, and additional safety aids.
Standard AWD System

The 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine generates 310 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque. A larger 5.0-liter V8 unit is capable of producing 470 horsepower and a torque of 410 lb-ft. However, the 2023 Ford Mustang AWD Hybrid is on the way.
Both engines are getting hybrid systems. We don’t know if a new hybrid system will introduce even more power. Most likely, yes.
