Not so long ago, we saw the first photos of the 2023 Ford Ranger Tremor prototype. A spied model shows some interesting features, especially on the outside. That includes a very familiar set of wheels and recognizable headlights. If the Ranger Raptor is too expensive for you, Tremor is a perfect alternative.
It is a more affordable off-road variant. And while it can’t compete with Raptor, the Tremor model is still a very capable off-roader with so much to offer. Anyway, we think the Tremor package is slightly better than the FX4 treatment. The first details are here so let’s check them out.
Ford Ranger Tremor Spied
So far, the Tremor package impressed a lot of customers, no matter if we are talking about the F-150 or F-250 model. The same is with the mid-size Ranger pickup truck. The upcoming 2023 Ford Ranger Tremor will continue to impress, that’s for sure. The latest spy photos are showing a camouflaged truck wearing the same headlights as the smaller Ford Maverick pickup.
On top of that, we instantly spotted the same set of wheels that can be found on the Raptor variant. The new Ranger pickup truck will ride on the reliable T6 platform, providing good ride quality. Furthermore, the same architecture will underpin the Bronco SUV. Some cosmetic upgrades are happening, so we’ll have to wait for the camo to come off and find out more about the new Ranger Tremor.
Cabin Design
A lot of new things will be inside the new 2023 Ford Ranger Tremor. It will be very different from the regular Ranger model. People who buy this package will get a lot of good stuff. This package comes with more comfortable seats and an impressive 10-inch infotainment touchscreen.
The Tremor package can be added to XLT and Lariat trim levels. Combine this package with the XLT trim and even add a couple of optional things and this truck will still be a bargain. The 2023MY should provide a higher level of comfort, more features, and generally, even better ride quality.
Performance
We don’t know yet if the Blue Oval will add another engine option. Right now, it seems the 2023 Ford Ranger Tremor will continue with the same 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine. This is a good thing as the gasoline engine develops 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. It also comes with a standard 10-speed automatic transmission.
With 19 mpg combined, this model also sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds. However, improvements are always a possibility. The highlight of the Tremor package is improved suspension, dumpers, and shocks. You can find a truck with better off-road capability, approach and departure angles, but Ranger Tremor is still more affordable than the rest of the competition.
2023 Ford Ranger Tremor is Coming This Summer
The new 2023 Ford Ranger Tremor will cost slightly above $40,000. As we already mentioned, this mid-size truck has so much to offer and it is a very capable off-roader. The sales will begin this summer, per source.
