Recently, Ford teased the all-new 2023 Ford Transit Trail van. This model will arrive soon, providing lots of new stuff. The teaser includes a couple of images and a video, showing the van’s appearance and interior. It is a perfect motorhome in our opinion, although many new features will be available as an option.
This means that you won’t get all of the cool things in the base model, so the price will be higher. In any case, it is a good base for a very reliable and modern motorhome. Without further ado, here’s everything you need to know about this new van.
Ford Transit Trail Exterior Design
Teasers of the 2023 Ford Transit Trail are showing a couple of nice novelties. Generally, it is a brand-new model, but some things provided by Ford are completely new. For a start, there is a unique grille that wears three amber-colored lights. The base of this van is a larger 250 version, offering very modern wheels.
Interestingly, the van comes with off-road tires. The wheel arches are available with more prominent cladding to the wheel arches. Thanks to that, Blue Oval provides a slightly higher ride height. In any case, this van will offer a certain level of off-road capability, which is nice to hear.
Engine Specs
The forthcoming 2023 Ford Transit Trail will offer at least one potent engine. However, the Blue Oval carmaker didn’t specify which powertrain will be in use. Most likely, the base engine will be a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 275 horsepower. On top of that, a 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost V6 with a turbocharger will be optional.
This engine will provide above 300 horsepower, although exact engine specs are yet to be announced. No matter which trim level you opt for, Transit Trail will arrive with a standard all-wheel-drive (AWD) system. The Transit Trail van is already available in Europe, using a 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine. However, this engine won’t make it to the United States.
Interior Upgrades
We are waiting to see the first interior details. The 2023 Ford Transit Trail will be an off-road van, made for adventures. Therefore, the interior will provide more practicality, while maintaining a nice level of comfort. According to Blue Oval, it is a classic do-it-yourself interior.
The UK version offers seats that can be moved or removed. After that, you can use their mounts as anchor points for cargo. Again, Ford will unveil most of the cabin details in the coming weeks. That includes the first interior photos, the size of the dashboard, displays, and a list of standard and optional features.
2023 Ford Transit Trail Release Date and Price
Predicting the price of the 2023 Ford Transit Trail is almost impossible at the moment. Again, there is the UK version of this van, but many reports are saying that the US-spec model will be significantly better in every possible aspect. This van will be fully unveiled at some point in November, while the sales will begin in the first quarter of 2023.
