2023 Lincoln Blackwood and Mark LT Pickup Comeback: Is it possible?

In the last couple of years, we are hearing a lot of rumors regarding the brand-new Lincoln pickup truck. One of the rumored models is 2023, Lincoln Blackwood. Moreover, Lincoln Mark LT pickup is rumored to make a comeback. In reality, none of these models will happen anytime soon. In the future, surely.

However, it doesn’t seem so likely for the next year or two. Still, it sounds like a great idea and people are falling for it. We even have a couple of rendering images available, which makes these speculations even tastier. Without further ado, here’s everything we know about these models and Lincoln’s plans for the future.

Lincoln Blackwood Rumors

One of the best rumors we heard is the arrival of the 2023 Lincoln Blackwood. Of course, this model is not official, but it sounds interesting. If you didn’t know, Blackwood was a model that lasted for only one production year, from 2001 to 2002. Interestingly, the same person who designed Ford Mustang car and the F-150 pickup truck designed the Blackwood model. It was a pickup with a crew cab setup and it offered more luxury than its competitors. The Blackwood model had the same shape as the famous Mark LT variant. Now, Blackwood would probably deliver a completely unique appearance with modern styling cues. Reportedly, the interior will borrow stuff from the Lincoln Navigator SUV, heavily.

This also means the two models could share the same architecture. If this is correct, then Blackwood would offer impressive ride quality with a luxury interior highlighted by a 13.2-inch touchscreen. We should also count on the premium Black Label trim level that offers nothing but luxury. Under the hood, a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 with 450 horsepower is a perfect candidate. This means the Blackwood model will offer amazing styling, premium cabin design, and a lot of power. This sounds too good to be true, but we will wait for another year and hope for this model. Still, we think the Blackwood model will not happen anytime soon.

Mark LT Comeback

As for the 2023 Lincoln Mark LT model, this is an iconic pickup truck. Many speculations are predicting a huge comeback for years, but nothing happened in reality. The rumors are funny because people are writing the same things about the 2023 Lincoln Blackwood and the new Mark LT model. That includes the same platform that underpins Lincoln Navigator and Ford Expedition SUVs. It is a T3 architecture, and a modified version of this chassis underpins the current Ford F-150 truck.

This is a perfect thing because rumors are predicting the same engines that are available in Navigator, Expedition, and Ford F-150 models. Some are even saying the Blackwood model is the new Mark LT.
