The 2023 Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring is simply an astonishing SUV. Unlike other trim levels, Grand Touring comes with a hybrid powertrain option. Overall, Corsair replaced the MKC model two years ago. And while the Corsair model shares a lot of stuff with the Ford Escape, Corsair is a luxury model.
On the other hand, this SUV is much more affordable than other Lincoln’s models such as Aviator or Navigator. The 2023MY will bring a mild refresh, so we mostly expect a carryover model. Some tweaks will happen, but nothing significant should change in the following year. The sales will begin later in 2022 and here’s what we know so far.
Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring Facelift
First spy shots of the new model are already here. The 2023 Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring will gain the same updates as the base trim level. For starters, this model has an EPA exhaust system. This mechanism is utilized on cars that may soon get a new powertrain choice. This is a mystery, though, the Corsair Grand Touring will offer the same hybrid system.
In any case, the Corsair will be built on the same C2 architecture as the Ford Escape. The dimensions remain unchanged, and Corsair will continue to provide the same lofty grille and sweeping headlights. Naturally, the influence of the Navigator and Aviator SUVs can be seen in Corsair’s exterior design. While regular and hybrid variants are looking the same, the Grand Touring trim level adds more premium stuff.
Interior Upgrades
The interior of the 2023 Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring will suffer a couple of refinements. To begin, this tiny crossover will include a new center stack. In addition, Lincoln will include more high-tech features. The Active Glide system will be available, which is fantastic news. In addition, Lincoln will provide new driver-assist features and an SYNC4 infotainment system. This is not the end of the story, as the company will almost probably release a larger touchscreen as well as a new ventilation system.
Unlike the base model, this one comes with even more luxury. The Grand Touring variant adds more premium materials and high-tech features. However, some features are still optional. That includes the Revel 14-speakers sound system, phone as a key, wireless charging pad, and a 360-degree camera. Lastly, Lincoln provides numerous driving modes such as Pure EV, Preserve EV, Excite and Conserve.
Engine Specs, MPG
In terms of performance, the new 2023 Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring will use a 2.5-liter engine. This inline-four gasoline unit is paired with two electric motors, creating a plug-in hybrid system. This system is similar to systems used in Ford Fusion Energi and Ford C-Max Energi models. However, one upgrade makes the Grand Touring so special, and it is a third electric motor.
This motor provides an additional 110 lb-ft of torque and it also provides an AWD system. Thanks to that, Corsair Grand Touring develops almost 270 horsepower. Lincoln offers a 14.4-kWh lithium-ion battery and a standard CVT automatic transmission. While we are waiting for the official fuel economy ratings, this variant will provide around 30 miles of all-electric driving range.
2023 Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring Price, Release Date
The base trim level starts at around $37,500. On the other hand, more premium 2023 Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring will cost slightly above $50,000. This SUV will rival luxury competitors such as Volvo XC60, Audi Q5, and BMW X3.
