According to the most recent reports, the upcoming 2024 Ford Escape will not introduce a redesign. This is not official yet, but it seems like the next Escape model will get mild updates. The reason is the next-gen model that will go on sale in 2025MY. Therefore, another mid-cycle facelift is on the way.
The Escape is one of the best-selling crossovers, offering numerous trim levels, different powertrain options, and more. In terms of upgrades, we expect to see a couple of interesting visual changes, followed by interior updates. Reportedly, the new touchscreen is on the way, but Ford will surely provide more than that.
Ford Escape Gets Mild Cosmetic Upgrades
In terms of design, Ford Escape just recently received a nice facelift. This leads us to the 2024 Ford Escape, a model that will gain minor or mild visual upgrades. The 2025MY will reportedly be the next-gen model, so that’s when we should expect a major redesign. Until that happens, the Escape crossover gets a nice upgrade, which includes a new light bar, refreshed grille, and revised headlights.
It should be enough to make the front fascia look brand-new. As for the rear fascia, taillights will suffer minor tweaks, and we also expect to see new turn signals. Of course, Blue Oval carmaker will surely deliver new exterior colors and possibly new optional wheels. To the side, the Escape model will remain the same.
Interior Updates
Since the current Escape model arrives with a new 13.2-inch touchscreen, we don’t expect major interior updates in the following months. The upcoming 2024 Ford Escape should receive minor updates, like an updated infotainment system, additional driver-assistance aids, and a new technology package.
It is a SYNC 4 infotainment, so a larger screen is more than enough. On the other hand, we don’t know if this new display will be standard or optional. Anyway, the cabin layout will remain, along with the upholstery and flat-bottom steering wheel. If you are not satisfied with the current interior design then you should wait for the next-gen Escape that will arrive at some point in 2024.
Is Escape Crossover Getting AWD System?
The new 2024 Ford Escape won’t feature a new engine; fortunately, a variety of engines are already available in this model. A 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine with 181 horsepower remains the standard option. Good acceleration performance is offered by the 250-horsepower optional 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. There is also a hybrid powertrain available, which combines a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with two electric motors.
This model has 221 horsepower. The range of the Escape Hybrid’s 11.2-kWh battery is 37 miles on pure electricity. Even the base 1.3-liter engine is good, providing 27 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway. It is a fantastic method to save fuel. However, one significant upgrade should happen. Right now, Escape Hybrid does not offer an AWD system, so the new model should gain a standard all-wheel-drive, per source.
2024 Ford Escape Release Date and Price
The price of the all-new 2024 Ford Escape will start at $29,000. On top of that, if you opt for the Titanium trim level with a hybrid powertrain, you’ll end up paying almost $44,000. The new Escape crossover will hit the dealerships in the second half of 2023, and the year after that, the next-gen model will arrive.
