The forthcoming 2024 Ford Explorer is going on sale in a one-year time. Three Engine Options
The powertrain lineup for the future 2024 Ford Explorer will be the same as that of the outgoing model. A 2.3-liter turbo-four engine with 300 horsepower powers the base Explorer model. However, upper trim levels are offering a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 with 400 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. This engine is available in trim levels such as King Ranch, ST, and Platinum. The available hybrid variant combines an electric motor and a 3.3-liter V6 engine.
A total of 318 horsepower is produced as a consequence, including 322 lb-ft of torque. When completely loaded, the Explorer can pull a maximum of around 5550 pounds. While an RWD arrangement is standard, an all-wheel drive system is once more an option. Like most current SUVs, the new Explorer will have a highly sophisticated 10-speed automatic transmission.
