Once more sighted in testing, the forthcoming 2024 Ford Super Duty is unluckily well camouflaged. The upcoming model will, however, feature several changes. That includes changes on the front fascia, such as larger headlights, a wider grille, and more. The new vehicle won’t significantly differ from the current design, though.
Whatsoever, some interior upgrades are already familiar. The captured model shows changes such as a new instrument cluster and it seems like the infotainment screen is bigger than before. The observed prototype, on the other hand, could be one of the upper trim levels. Only time will tell what’s going on beneath the heavy camo.
Exterior Facelift
The next 2024 Ford Duper Duty appears to only get mild visual upgrades. According to the most recent spy pictures, the upcoming model will include refreshed front fascia, a new lighting system, and new wheels. Surprisingly, the compact Maverick pickup and the mid-size Ranger have some impact on the new F-150 truck.
That includes a recognizable twin-bar grille that looks more upright and c-shaped headlights. The Ford Super Duty won’t differ too much from the current design despite those upgrades. Generally, the front fascia looks better than before, and the rear section will get new taillights.
Ford Super Duty Interior
In comparison to the current lineup, the cabin of the 2024 Ford Super Duty is improved. Even the standard model features very modern touches and features. We advise upgrading to the Lariat trim level, which includes wireless charging, better upholstery, Wi-Fi, and more. The goal is to rival the interior of the Ram HD, in every possible way.
Therefore, improvements are very likely. An 8-inch touchscreen will probably remain, although the spy shots are showing a bigger display. Right now, upper trim levels are providing an impressive 12-inch infotainment touchscreen. Moreover, most premium models are available with standard leather seats, sunroof, wireless phone integrations, and other luxury amenities.
Engine Lineup Remains
The new 2024 Ford Super Duty won’t offer a new engine option. Instead, three familiar powertrains are still available. Some rumors are predicting a hybrid variant, although this is not so likely to happen anytime soon. A 6.2-liter V8 engine is still standard, but we prefer an optional 7.3-liter V8. This is the most potent gasoline engine in the heavy-duty segment.
However, the most powerful engine is a 6.7-liter V8 diesel. This unit, when properly equipped, can tow up to 37,000 pounds, which is the truck’s maximum towing capacity. On the other hand, a gasoline engine gets 24,000 pounds of towing capacity. Blue Oval could improve the lineup by adding more power, but we don’t know if that is going to happen.
2024 Ford Super Duty Price, Release Date
Since the 2024 Ford Super Duty is arriving with a mid-cycle facelift, we don’t expect a major jump in terms of price. The current model begins at $40,000, so a new one will cost $41,000 in the worst-case scenario. The most expensive model is the F-350 Limited which could reach $90k with ease. Blue Oval will launch a new Super Duty lineup next year, most likely in the fall. More details will emerge later in 2022.
