The forthcoming 2020 Ford F-150 will get minor updates. After some serious revamp, the 2020 model is arriving with not that significant improvements. This pickup truck is powered by a standard V6 and new V8 engine, the exterior looks astonishing and the interior is amazing.
Blue Oval carmaker feels that there is no need for any major upgrades as the pickup truck already looks refreshing and beautiful. The biggest competitors are Ram 1500 and Chevy Silverado 1500, that is a small step behind the iconic F-150 pickup. The interior will get slight updates, and some new systems are in the offer as well. A diesel engine is available, along with the hybrid drivetrain.
Exterior Comes Without Any Changes
The 2020 Ford F-150 arrives with the same exterior as the 2019 model that manages to suffer serious changes. Moreover, regular F-150 will ride on the same design language as the famous Raptor model. While the Raptor is slightly wider, the regular model offers awesome stability so the off-road adventures are a must with this pickup truck.
Literally, everything from the outside will stay intact and that includes the latest changes such as a new bumper and LED headlights. The 2020 F-150 rides on 17-inch wheels as before and the receiver hitch will be standard. You can opt for the regular or the longer wheelbase version as well.
Better Interior and More Safety
The interior will remain practical and modern as before. The 2020 Ford F-150 comes with plenty of interior color schemes and plenty of modern amenities. That includes 4G LTE Wi-Fi, the latest version of the infotainment system and new safety systems too.
Cruise control and active park assist are now on the list of the standard equipment and there could be a bigger number of airbags. Moreover, the interior is roomy and the comfort is great. Rear legroom is among the best-in-class and the comfort could reach the level of luxury over the optional features.
Gasoline, Diesel and Hybrid Drivetrain Options
The 2020 Ford F-150 offers plenty of engine choices. However, the base engine is the most used unit and it is a 3.3-liter V6. This drivetrain generates 290 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque and 6-speed automatic transmission is the only option. The EcoBoost engines, three of them to be exact will make a production once again. The 5.0-liter EcoBoost V8 will gain more power, up to 395 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque.
Of course, the diesel unit is in the offer as well and it is a 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel. This pickup can tow up to 13,000 pounds and it is a leader in its respective segment. The hybrid drivetrain is confirmed but we don’t know the exact figures of this output. We believe that the Ford will pair an electric motor with the base engine and most likely with the optional V8 engine. Blue Oval company expect leading numbers when it comes to mileage.
2020 Ford F-150 Price and Release Date
You can get newest 2020 Ford F-150 for $30,000 or slightly more. Official pricing is not available yet, however, the price of the Limited model will go over the $65,000.
