The upcoming 2019 Ford Ranger Raptor will arrive by the end of the year and it will bring plenty of excitement. New model is taller and wider than before, it will ride on all-terrain tires and new engine is in the lineup as well.
After the great success of the F-150 Raptor, Ford decided to give its Ranger model a Raptor variant as well. This model is more than capable off-roader, however, we’ll have to wait for more specific specs. The return of the 2019 Ranger Raptor is very anticipated, and according to Blue Oval carmaker, even the base Ranger model will bring plenty of refreshments.
Exterior Facelift
Plenty of styling cues are taken from the F-150 Raptor model. The grille hold a bold FORD lettering and the front end adds LED headlights and daytime running lights. The bumper comes with an integrated LED fog lights. The tow hooks and skid plates are exactly the same as on the F-150 truck. Speaking of tow hooks, Ford claims that they can tow up to 9,900 pounds.
The rear end comes with the same cues and amenities which includes a Baja-style bumper, two tow hooks and a receiver hitch. The 2019 Ranger Raptor is wider by 0.7 inches and the height is larger up by 2.1 inches. New Ranger will arrive with new exterior paints such as Race Red, Frozen White, Conquer Grey and Shadow Black.
2019 Ford Ranger Raptor Interior Features
The interior of the all-new 2019 Ford Ranger Raptor will bring plenty of updates. First thing to notice are bolstered seats with suede inserts. The two-tone leather seats are available and those seats are coming with blue contrast stitching. The steering wheel looks sporty and it adds grips at ten and two o’clock. Those grips are also finish a thick leather with blue contrast stitching as well.
Magnesium paddle shifters are new as well, just like the infotainment system and updated gear shifter. The Ford’s logo is all over the cabin, especially on the front seatbacks, into the steering wheel. Safety is better as the roll mitigation, lane keep assist, hill start assist and stability control are all in the offer.
Engine Specs
Next to the 3.2-liter turbo-diesel and 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6, the 2019 Ford Ranger Raptor will get an all-new 2.0-liter diesel engine. This twin-turbocharged unit with four cylinders is more potent than the mentioned units. Moreover, it will use a 10-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive setup.
There should be up to six driving modes which includes the famous Baja setting. However, new engine will probably become available for the markets outside the U.S. The 3.2-liter generates up to 211 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque while the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 can produce 335 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque.
2019 Ford Ranger Raptor Price and Release Date
We are yet to find out the pricing of the all-new 2019 Ford Ranger Raptor. This pickup truck will firstly arrive in the Asia by the end of the year, while the U.S. dealerships will have to wait a little longer.
