Remember the time when Town Car was one of the best-selling limos in the U.S. markets. Well, that time could arrive sooner than you think as the 2019 Lincoln Town Car is coming to the dealerships, again. A full-size luxury sedan should arrive next year with astonishing features and performances. There is also a possibility that the Town Car will come as the limited edition of the Lincoln Continental model.
The production of the Town Car started in 1981 and it lasts until 2011. For that time we were three generations of this model, which means the fourth-generation is upon us. This sedan will arrive at some point next year and it will bring plenty of luxury both in and out. Furthermore, the driving manners and performances are expected to be superb.
2019 Lincoln Town Car Exterior Design
The eight years of waiting should do wonders for this sedan. The 2019 Lincoln Town Car will share almost nothing with its predecessor. On the other hand, Town Car will share a lot with the Continental model. That includes the same platform and plenty of styling cues. The taillights are stretched across the whole trunk while the front grille will get a unique design. Some of the parts such as headlights and front bumper are looking really evolutionary.
Interior With Plenty of Standard Features
The interior will get a more than needed modernization. That will include numerous high-tech features, plenty of standard equipment and of course better comfort. Furthermore, the shape of the buttons and vents are very modern. The 2019 Lincoln Town Car will get a rear privacy glass, eight-way power-adjustable driver seat and a four-way power front passenger seat. An 8-inch multi-information display is standard, just like the Bluetooth, two-zone climate control and telescoping steering wheel.
A rearview camera is also available, along with the premium audio system with seven speakers. The latest infotainment system is on the offer and it will be a Ford’s Sync 3 system. It is one of the best systems in the car industry and new navigation is also included. Apple Car Play and Android Auto are optional and safety is improved a lot.
Engine Specs
What 2019 Lincoln Town Car hides under the hood is perhaps the thing that we are the most interested in. Sadly, there is no official confirmation about the possible engine. However, some rumors showed up a couple of days ago about the most likely outcome. According to those rumors, it is a 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine that generates up to 350hp and 370 lb-ft of torque.
This sedan will come with a 6-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive setup. Top speed is rated at 130 mph. Of course, this is not an official information and we’ll have to wait for Lincoln to announce new drivetrain. Additionally, a 2.7-liter V6 engine is touted as an optional engine. For now, we don’t have any specs about this mill.
Price and release date
The all-new 2019 Lincoln Town Car will cost around $40,000. The company’s flagship full-size sedan Continental costs slightly above $45,000. Lincoln’s newest model will go out at some point next year, probably in the first half.
